The greenery and the wan brown of trees alike blurred in the corners of their vision as they soared past. Their lungs expanded painfully and their trachea burned following the strangled gasps of icy air.
Their mind scrambled, canceling out the aching in their legs and chest to focus on the zeroed-in issue on their hands.
How long had All For One known? They had a small suspicion that the man was already aware that (Y/n) was up to something, and they knew he would play the long game. Observing, all-too-knowing. Watching as his toys helplessly attempt an escape.
But they had it. They thought it through. They took so many precautions. But they were an idiot. Botan was the only person they had kept contact with besides Touya these past months. How could they be so fooled to trust nothing bad would happen? They thought- surely, since Botan despises All For One-
'how could I be so dumb!?' They mentally hissed, face twisting into a frustrated sneer.
Activating their quirk resulted in a flash of white impeding their eyesight and a migraine to spear at their temple. If it weren't for the current apprehension of their situation, it would've eased them to know the quirk-obstructors were working, impeccably so.
But -'god-damn it!' they couldn't tell if anyone was close by.
It's fine-- They would be able to use their quirk once they're home. What are the odds, anyway? for something to happen now?
A small, almost negligible pinch of relief found them as the wooden house began to reveal in the clearing.
"Touya!" The name escaped them before their hand could grasp the doorknob. They burst open the door with a forceful swing, causing it to slam against its hinges, the frame groaning as the regal wood recoiled back a few inches. They yelled out his name again.
Touya jolted from his place on the bed. He had never heard (Y/n) sound so urgent before. Their third holler of his name, followed by a loud slam of a door snapped him out of his momentary pause and had him scurrying down the stairs.
He caught sight of them halfway down the steps. He didn't have time to question the safe they were punching a code into, watching them curse silently when their shaking fingers pressed on the wrong key pads.
"Wear your shoes and get the bag." Their voice, now less volumess, still rang sharp and firm.
"What-"
"Don't- Just do it!" Their head snapped at him for a moment, evident with stress, before grabbing the safe handle and yanking it open. He stared with panicked eyes as they pulled a device- akin to a walkie-talkie? He shook his head then quickly padded down the rest of the stairs.
Frantic footsteps sprung across the walls as (Y/n) rushed from one room to the next, grabbing all sorts of things, the boy could hardly make out what was in their hold before they disappeared into another corner and then emerged once again with something new. He stood rigidly in the middle of the room, the duffle bag in his hand. His head followed their form, mouth opening with a quake before quelling back whatever questions he had.
They suddenly took a double take of him, then sped toward him.
"What's happening-" They snatched the bag from his hands before disappearing upstairs, leaving his question pending. He frowns with a sweatdrop.
His legs shifted beneath him
"Where are we going?" Standing at the doorway, he finally manages to get a full question in. (Y/n) focus remains elsewhere, their thoughts proving louder than any real sound. Their hands moved to shove items into the bag, unneatly pushing in the clothes spilling from the sides of the large zipper opening. Their movements were blotched, unlike their usual steady art. Well, to be fair, they were completely unlike themselves right now, Touya took note.
