"Hell nah, ion wanna hear that bullshit Mara. You know you deadass wrong for all this shit you've been doing" I heard my dad slightly raise his voice from downstairs as him and mama argued.
Over the past month its been nothing but the two of them arguing with each other.
It got to the point were a couple of days ago, daddy left to stay with auntie Riyah and uncle Kamari.
And while he was gone all mama did was talk shit about him to one of her homegirls, or sat up in the room drinking wine and crying.
Sometimes their arguments were about me which i hated.
Knowing mama still didn't make an effort to accept who i am didn't piss me off like it would've a while ago.
I've came to terms with me and her not having a bond like before.
It was friday night before graduation, and i was planning on seeing Asia.
I swear time was going slow as hell.
"Well if you don't wanna fucking be here then fucking leave nigga! You did it the last couple days anyways. Running to Riyah and Kamari like a fucking kid!" Mama shouted.
I can guess she was probably all in his face.
"Oh my gawd, not they fighting again" Genesis said coming into my room and plopped down on my bed.
Not saying a word back, i went into my closet and slipped on my uggs.
"Where you going?" Her nosey self asked.
"With Asia"
There was a minute of silence while I combed my fresh silk press into a low pony.
"Well...dont say that to mama, you know she gone do the most" she warned me and i rolled my eyes.
She wasn't wrong though, that lady been doing the most lately.
"You should know that i don't care what mama gotta say Gen. she don't accept me and that's cool, i just know that the love and bond won't be there like it was before" I told her swiping on some lip gloss.
"I mean trust me i get it, honestly i agree with you. You know i ride with you til the wheels fall off" Genesis kissed the tip of her index finger and held it out towards me.
Smiling i did the same, and connected the tips of our fingers.
"I love you Gen"
"And i love you juice" she cracked a smile while i giggled at our nicknames for each other.
"Okay let me get back to my room, tell Asia i said hey!" She called out while walking out my room and closing the door behind her.
Im glad that despite all the shit mama has been talking about me to Gen, that we still had our bond.

Bringing me out of my thoughts, my phone started ringing.
Seeing it was Asia i began to smile and get all giddy.
"Hey baby, you outside?" I answered the phone slightly biting my lip.
The other line was silent.
"Uh hello" I nervously chuckled.
