MEHWISH POV

I could see how he was looking at me with the last hope in his eyes until I felt a tap on my leg to see my sister had tapped my leg.

I looked at Mr.Khan and spoke "it's going fine uncle".

I looked at him his hazel eyes spoke many things and I could see in his eyes that he was hurt and shocked by this news and his last hope was shattered.

I just looked down controlling my tears but what he did was so unbelievable "ooh your getting married Mehwish I didn't even know that make sure you send an extra invitation to my family as now I'm not going back and I'm staying here till your wedding" he spoke while looking at me while I looked at him in disbelief.

"Sure beta why not we will surely send you an invitation" my dad spoke while I just kept staring at him.

"And did I miss on something Mehwish that maybe I need to know" he spoke while I just kept looking at him when my mom spoke "Yup shahzain you did miss on something , you missed Mehwish's engagement like it was pretty private, it was only our close family present and obviously in that you were included".

"Oh my god your engaged Mehwish I'm soo happy for you congratulations and your engagement right come on I missed it but at least let me see you ring show me" he spoke while I clenched my fist under the table as obviously I didn't have the engagement ring with me.

"Mehwish come on show him he's waiting" my sister spoke while I removed the hand that was under the table and kept it up but yea there was no ring present.

"Where is your ring Mehwish" he spoke while all the people present on the table were looking at me my heart beat fastens I felt difficulty in breathing but I knew I need to talk something before I embarrassed myself.

"I f-forgot to w-wear it" I spoke while he just laughed and spoke "how can you forget to wear your engagement ring you should always wear it you know what if someone gets a wrong idea that your still single".

All in the table present laughed with him and just then Asma spoke "it's okay they won't approach her anyways as she looks soo innocent".

I felt ashamed of myself at the moment all present were laughing and for a fact I knew that I was going to get screw by my mom and dad and sister.

I just smiled a little when I felt a hand on my hand I looked at the hand and it was Alisa who was caressing it she came close to me and spoke "I'm so sorry I don't know what is wrong with shahzain bhaiya this is the first time he's acting this way".

I smiled and shook my head telling her that I was fine and only one thing was left in my mind that was to eat as fast as possible and leave from here.

Even tho my appetite had died I forced myself to eat or more like I hardly bit my food I more like swallow it.

And as soon as I was done I stood up and that's when a servant came to serve but I just shook my head and mrs.khan told me to eat more but I lied telling that I had lunch late so for now after having so much only I was full.

The servant took the plate I got up and told Alisa that I would be in the backyard she nodded I left and as soon as I opened the door the wind hit me I closed my eyes in satisfaction and two to three tears left my eyes I closed my eyes and let it flow as I had controlled it a lot and now my tolerance had ended.

I felt a tap on my shoulder I opened my eyes and I saw sultana mumma I smiled and this was after a long time I slimed with my full teeth.

She wiped my tears while I hugged her tightly and she hugged me back "how are you sultana mumma it's been a long time and I missed you sooooooooooo muchhhhhh".
