Jessica Sanders and the murderous couple

chapter 9

It's been a couple of weeks since I found out my grandparents were murdered. I mean they officially lost it. They didn't know that I was the girl. And plus I don't look that much like her. I mean the last time they saw her she was a baby.

I woke up that morning it was like all the others I was still staying with Josh and his mom. I eventually went back to get all of my things. I needed a lot more things than I had. I put on my leather skirt and a leather jacket with a red strapless shirt. I put on black eyeliner and mascara.

I curled my hair my hair is always straight I don't even have to straighten it that much. I just let it be natural. Ever since the day the principal died everyone has been keeping a distance from me except for Alisha and Josh.

That's when I realized again that it was only my first year. If survived than I will have a long life ahead of me.

I then put on biker boots and went downstairs to breakfast.
"Good morning dear," Mrs. Carson said. I smiled and said" good morning." I looked down to eat it was silent when I noticed Josh wasn't at the table. So I looked up and asked," where is Josh?" She put her newspaper down and sipped her café than counted 3,2,1 and Josh came down.

Mrs. Carson pointed at Josh. Than Josh walked over to his mom and kissed her cheek and did the same to mine than he said" good morning guys." I looked at him he was in a suit and tie. I asked," what's the suite for and the happy face on for?" Than Mrs. Carson playfully said," please tell me you're moving out."

I and she broke out into laughter. Josh looked down then said," no tomorrow is Halloween." I then looked at him then asked:" what's the suite for?" He then said" well I just thought since I am my best around Halloween I decided to ask the special girl I like to be my girlfriend. "Than he winked at me I blushed.

Was he talking about me? Why else would he wink at me? Does he like me? Do I like him? No, I don't or do I. I just want to stay friends. I have to let him down easy.

Than Sally asked, " could you help me out in the kitchen?" I nodded and went into the kitchen with her. She then turned to and did a girly laugh. She then pointed at me and said" it's you. He like you. It has to be you.

I tried to say no than I said:" I don't know." Then she nodded to me and said: " definitely is you." I looked at her than blushed than said:" but I don't like him like that." In my head, I thinking if I do or not. But I didn't. Plus it would mess up our friendship.

Sally looked down and said," oh, well let him down easily." I nodded then she sighed and said: " I just wanted beautiful grandbabies." I jumped and said, " What, What are you talking about!!!!?" She then started laugh. For a mom, she plays a lot.

So I hugged her and said " Bye." It was time for school. Then she said "bye" then I left with Josh. All day I and Alisha and everyone else would talk about Halloween parties. Than Alisha asked," so why is Josh wearing a suite."

I looked up at her then looked back at my food and said:" just to ask me out." She looked wide eyes and said" what!!!!? You!!!! " I nodded she hugged me and said, " omg how do you know?" Then I told her everything that happened. Then she asked," so what are you going to say?" I said," no I just don't like him like him like that." She nodded in understatement and said," I was hoping to be a good mom."

I looked at her and spit out my drink and said:" What the hell?" She smiled then laughed. Then in walked Josh. He came over to us and said" hey," we said" hey" than Alisha asked," so when are you gonna ask your mystery girl?" He said, " umm now."

Oh no, get ready for it. But josh stood up on the table. Oh no not in front of everyone I would embarrass him than he cleared his throat. So I said" get down from there. What are you doing?" He smirked and said" asking my special girl out." I then put my head down than he asked" can I have everyone's attention, please. The room went silent. Here it comes.

" I want to know if Victoria Mason would like to be my girlfriend." I looked up surprised. Than Victoria ran to him and kissed him and said "yes." Everyone clapped than Alisha said," luckily it wasn't you huh???" I was happy. But deep down my heart was screaming why? Why her not me? Did I do something wrong?
