Then Brandon's dad asked," dear I thank I've heard that name before." Then his mother said," yes, I know but from where exactly?" That's when Brandon interrupted their conversation and said:" mom, dad, you're being so rude to our guess." Then I said" no, umm it's fine. I understand." The reason I didn't tell them where they saw my name from was that I wanted to see where this was going.

Then Brandon's father said," well, he then cleared his throat I'm sure it's not a big deal?" Oh well, it is a big deal I basically have my name written on death and so does everyone who I care about.

That's when it hit me hard in the face like bricks. So I pushed my chair back and got up. "will you please, excuse me I have to use the bathroom." They nodded so I went up the wooden stairs. With every step, it was a creek sound.

I then looked around and found an open door. The door was sky blue. I stepped into the room and heard my steps on the marble floor I shut the door. I then scanned the bathroom. They had a stand-up shower with the type of head that comes off. Their shower curtains were blue, green and pink flowers. The sink was shaped like bowl and the toilet had a pink covering on the lid.

(Brandon's P.O.V)

When Jessica left the table my mom said:" well that was awkward." I looked at her then said," please don't bring up anything about her family." Then my mother asked" why? Is there something wrong dear?" I exhaled as if I was holding my breath. Then I said," mom, dad she doesn't exactly know who her parents are?" My dad then said," so she adopted?" Then I said," we aren't 100% sure it's more complicated than u think."

They nodded than my mom made our plates and Jessica came back down. That poor girl was going through it but acted as if no worries come to her. She so sweet and innocent and smart.

I grinned and then Jessica asked," why are you smiling so big?" I then said," because I just realized that I'm the luckiest man on the earth." Then she laughed and then said," you're not gonna propose are you?" I shook my head by the end of the night my mom and Jessica were best friends and I and dad were a lot closer it's strange one girl can bring a family together by doing absolutely nothing but be herself.

(Jessica's P.O.V)

I waved goodbye to Brandon's parents as we entered the car. I think it's weird that they didn't mention my parents tho because usually, parents ask about them. The car to my house wasn't silent exactly we listened to the Weeknd, Trae songs, etc by the time we got to Josh's house it was 11:30 and I then turned to Brandon and said" thank you for tonight I had a great time. Your parents are great." He then said," no, thank you for being my girlfriend and coming." We kissed for like 2 minutes then I walked in Josh's house.

When I walked in sally hugged me and said oh my gosh are you ok?" I looked at her and said" fine, Josh didn't tell you where I was?" She said," yes he did but I meant about your parents lying to you?" I looked at her confused.

She then gave me the paper and in big bold words said

" The murderous couple broke in the Saint Amigos hospital and held everyone captive so that they could give blood to a couple that was taking a blood test. Could it be the Sanders? The doctor's records say that they came on the same day and minutes before the Sanders. Is Jessica there child?

I looked at my feet with tears in my eyes this doesn't prove anything but the lady was Madison the girl out of the couple.
