While sitting in the office, I starred at the clock as the arms clicked by. This was taking too long to print out a freaking schedule. Just as I thought this, the principal walked out  of his office with a packet of papers in his hand.
            "Amber Coeher?" he asked.
"That's me!" I stood up smiling.
            "Follow me, please" he directed.
He handed me the packet of papers. On top was my schedule, finally. My first period class was AP History. Oh how lovely, my least favorite class was first. I followed the principal all the way to the classroom. Upon entering, I noticed Liam and his friend from earlier were sitting in the second to back row.
"Class," the principal began, "this is Amber Coeher. Please make her feel welcome."
Right after saying this, he left the classroom and walked away. I awkwardly stood there with my backpack only on one shoulder, and all my papers in my hand.
"Ah, Miss. Coeher, it is so nice to meet you. My name is Mr. Yukimura and I'll be your history teacher. Please take a seat between Mr. Liam and Mr. Mason" he asked while glaring at the two boys.
            "Bu-" Liam began.
"No buts! You and Mason need to stop talking during class!" Mr. Yukimura exclaimed.
Liam gets up; looking defeated, and slides into the seat next to him. This leaves a seat in the middle of the two for me. I give Liam a sorry smile, and slip into my new seat. Opening my backpack, I grab my binder and open it up. When Mr. Yukimura starts to teach, I immediately start to take notes. I can see Liam and Mason staring at me out of the corner of their eyes. It was most likely because of all the notes I was taking. Falling behind would not be and option, especially because I only have once class with my actual grade. When Mr. Yukimura is finished teaching, he announces that we ten minutes left in class to do whatever we please. I put my binder away and get out the book I packed in my bag last night. Looking to my right, I notice Liam furiously typing on his phone. I then looked at Mason and saw him doing the same.
"Hey Amber," Liam gets my attention.
"Yeah," I say raising an eyebrown.
"Would you wanna eat lunch with me and my friends today?" he asks
            "Sure!" I respond excitedly.
"Great! See you then." He grins as the bell rings.
The next three periods were absolutely boring and I was actually regretting the whole "all AP classes" thing. As the bell rang for lunch, I walked down the hall to my locker. I began to wonder who I would sit with and then realized that I said I would sit with Liam and his friends. Shoving my books into my locker, I grabbed my lunch and walked down the hall. A small smile was painted on my face because I actually was not confused about where to sit.
As I entered the lunchroom, I realized that it was bigger than I thought. It was almost the size of a gymnasium and I was sure I would never find Liam and his friends.
After standing there for a moment, I looked over to see Liam standing on a chair, waving at me. My heart started to beat rapidly. What if they didn't like me? What if I was weird to them? What if I don't fit in? What if-
"Amber!" The shouting of my name cut my thoughts short. I was about four feet from the table and I could feel everyone staring at me. Liam grinned at me and patted on the next to him and another kid. All of them looked older than Liam, except for Mason.
"Didn't know you would actually take me up on my offer." Liam smirked.
I gave him a small smile before sitting down. The other boy next to me glared at me and then scrunched his nose. Liam gave him a look and silently told him to stop.
Looking around the table, I realized that there were three girls and four boys. One girl had short brown hair and the other had long, strawberry blonde. The third girl was Chinese and had gorgeous black hair. They all smiled at me but then continued talking amongst themselves.
"Okay, so I think I should introduce you to everyone." Liam says. He points to the girls and goes,
"The one with short hair is Malia and then the one with the red hair and perfect makeup is Lydia." I laugh at this but she just smiles brightly.
"And then we've got our kick-butt girl, Kira." Everybody laughed away this, and she just shyly smiled.
"As for the guys, we've got Scott, the tattoo. And then there's Stiles, the one who's staring at you like you're  Ebola."
I laugh this time and look at the boy named Stiles. He looked away but still had the same look on his face. Why did everyone keep giving me that look?
