The rest of lunch was pretty quiet, with me and Liam making small talk every once in a while.

"Hey, what class do you have after this?" He asked me.

"Um, AP Biology I think. Why?"

He gawked at me as I said it. I could feel the puzzled look on my face and could not figure out what I did wrong.

"Amber, AP Biology is a senior class." He explains.

Seriously?! I was okay with having almost all my classes with sophomores because their school was different, but seniors?!

"Really?" I squeaked.

"Yeah. What about all of your other science classes?"

"I, um, I finished them all online over the summer."

"Okay then. Hey you should talk to Lydia."

"The redhead?"

"Yup. Scott and Kira are in that class too, but they're all over each other."

"I can hear you!" exclaims Kira from the other side of the table.

"Good!" Liam shouts back. I laugh at that.

"Hey Lyd," Liam calls.

"Hm?" she looks up at him from her book.

"Can Amber sit with you in Biology?"

Lydia does what Liam did five minutes ago, and takes the opportunity to gawk at me.

"Honey, you do know that AP Biology is for seniors, right?" she says more than asks.

"I do know that, and I completed all my other science classes over the summer."

"Oh, well then sure! I do not really like my lab partner anyways," she laughs.

I graciously smile toward her and finish the rest of my lunch. The bell rings and Liam bids me farewell. As I shoved the rest of my stuff into my bag, I heard Stiles and Scott whisper behind me.

"She smells weird" Scott said.

"And your point is? I finally have a good feeling about her, about someone who moves here for God's sake!" Stiles exclaimed.

"I don't know. She has a smell on her, but it's not of her. But she is raising Liam's heartrate whenever she gets close."

"Bro, that's exactly what Allison did to you!"

"Exactly. We don't need history to repeat itself."

After hearing this, I rushed to my next class. Who was Allison? And how could Scott hear his heartrate? I shook my head and cleared my thoughts, continuing to walk to class.

I saw the Biology lab right ahead so I started walking a bit quicker. Upon entering the classroom, I noticed Lydia in the very front. She smiled and waved at me to come over.

Sitting down, I got out my binder and notebook. Realizing that I had no clue where the class was at in the lesson, I asked Lydia for help.

"Hey Lydia, can I look at your notes so I can see where you guys are at?"

"Yeah, here they are." She responded, handing me her notebook.

Her fingers continued to vigorously tap on the keyboard of her laptop. I wonder what was so important. Flipping open the notebook, I went to the most recent lesson. I began to look through it, only to realize that it was illegible. It was almost like a code of some sort.

"Um, Lyd?"

"Yeah?" she asked, biting her pencil.

"Your notes don't make sense."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, your notes are written like some sort of code."

"Crap," she muttered under her breath, grabbing the notebook from me.

She shoved it deep in her bag and grabbed her textbook, flipping it open to the middle. She began to quickly highlight certain parts of that chapter and handed it to me.

"This is everything we learned this week. Look over everything I highlighted, and you should be fine." She smiled at me and went back to typing on her laptop.

Well, that was weird. But yet again, everything was lately. Hopefully the end of the day would come fast.
