Matt's Pov:

I open my eyes and sit up from and notice everyone is already up, except Jalyn who is near the medical kit, probably cleaning up her cut.
I stand up and walk over to Jalyn to see how she is.
"Hey, how is it?" I ask her.
She looks at me, and there is such a sadness in her eyes that I've never seen before.
"It's fine I guess. I mean, I cleaned it out, hurts like hell, but it stopped bleeding." She tells me.
"That's awesome!" I tell her, and smile.
And for the first time, I see her smile too.
It was kinda silent for awhile, until she talks again.
"Matt. Remember last night when we were all talking about burying all the dead bodies?" She says.
"Yeah, I remember. I think the guys are going to dig to holes later, and we'll do it tonight." I tell her.
"Do you think we can do something special for my mom? Like we don't know any of the other people, but I know my mom. What I'm trying to say is that I want to bury her somewhere different then the others. Like, in memory." She wipes a tear away from her face.
"Oh course. I was actually thinking about that last night, so when everyone fell asleep and Nash and Whitney left, I looked around the island and found this huge rock and kinda dug a hole in front of it, thinking that was a good spot." I tell her.
She then stand up, and so do I, and she hugs me.
"Why are you doing all this for me? You don't even know me?" She tells me while hugging me.
"I don't need to know you to know what you're going through. And I don't want a beautiful girl like you to feel any sadness or pain. I promised your mom I would take care of you. And I'm going to keep that promise." I tell her, as she lets go of the hug.
"Do you want to do that now? Like I can go find Cam and Nash and they can help me get her over there, and you can get everyone else to like get ready, and we can meet down there when me and the guys come back. Sound good?" I ask her.
"Make sure everything is done when I get there. I don't want to see her like that. Bury her before you come back. Please?" She says to me.
I grab her hand, "anything for you," I say.
I go and find all the guys and tell them what's going on and we all agree.
Carrying her mom was really hard for all of us. Not by the weight, but the fact that she was dead.
And it was even harder putting dirt in the hole with her.
But we did it.
"I never thought I was be doing this anytime soon." Cam says.
"I don't think any of us planned this." Nash sarcastically says.
"We should go get them now." I say to them.
We all walk back, and all the girls are sitting on a blanket eating more crackers.
They're all laughing, so that's a good thing, but they know what's happening next, so the laughter soon ends.
Then all ten of us walk down the beach once again and reach Jalyn's mom's burial area.
We all say our prayers, all cry our tears, and we all hold each others hands.
"Thank you guys so much for this." Jalyn softly cries.
"We're all family now. We look out for each other. Help each other." I say to her, squeezing her hand.
After a little longer, we all decide to bury the rest of the bodies on the other side of the beach.
We go and dig the holes, and about four hours later, everything is done.

It's probably around like four now, sense we don't have any recollection of time, and we're all sitting down on the shore.
"Like I said earlier. We can't leave each other. We all need to stick together." I say again.
Everyone agrees.
We're all kind of joking around now to boost everyone's spirits until the unexpected happens.
A light, far off in the distance of the ocean.
"Boat!" Marika screams.
