The Different Path

Chapter 9

You wake up still feeling dazed from being zapped last night. Groggily and reluctantly, you sat up and is immediately greeted by a mop of blue and yellow hair grazing your lower abdomen. That's when you remember what happened last night.

'Oh ummmm, I definitely forgot what happened last night. I still feel some electricity crackling on my body.'

You felt a small shift and you put your guard up only to realize your still in your 'girlfriends' room.Feeling the awkwardness of her body hugging you like a pillow, you try to wake her up but ultimately fail.

'She's a heavy sleeper huh?' 'Haha'

You teleport away and put a pillow to replace yourself. Almost immediately, you received a call from Brimstone informing you of a mission to defend Ascent from your evil counterparts. Confused, you asked Brimstone to elaborate the situation. Brimstone explained that your specific set of skills will be needed to successfully defend the area as the enemy is also bringing your counterpart except your counterpart hasn't time travelled as he was killed by you. So he hasn't retained your skills that you have obtained while you were on your quest to find and conquer your powers.

Brimstone explained that a team comp that can match your skill set will be deployed and that includes Sage, Yoru, Jett and Omen. Those four agents will be accompanying you on the mission. Sage has been chosen because she is a great healer and therefore would be a great asset to your team comp. Yoru has been chosen because his ability to teleport and clones are similar to yours. Jett had been chosen because her wind powers may be able to break through your time-freeze ability. Finally, Omen has been chosen because his ability to create smokes will cause a diversion and blind the enemies which is where you come in to teleport behind them and shoot their brains out. This team will be known as 'Team Rage.'

Knowing this, you dressed up in your famous black coat and black shirt with your black jeans and black leather-like trainers. With your ominous purple eyes, you glared straight into your mirror and flared your aura into it. Exposing the mirror to your terrifying aura caused it to shatter and tiny pieces.

Before you went on the mission, you gave Neon a peck on her lips. Neon's lips slightly curved upward barely impalpable to the naked eye. But your sharp eyes caught it which caused you to smile back.

You glanced at her with an unwavering determination to come back and be able to hug her to bed.

With one last look at her sleeping figure, you left her room and a hushed silence filled the room.

Two Hours Later,

You could hardly breathe as you watched your health go down massively. What went from a solid plan turned into something that Valorant would never recover from. Omen had died. Jett had been killed too. With these following deaths. It just made you wonder if you had done something differently what would change? You thought about your 'last moments' and how you wanted to spend it. You wanted to spend it with Neon.

"Rage!" Yoru shouted as one last bullet was shot through your head killing you instantly. In your mind, you thought of how different you could have done and darkness filled your mind as you fade away to the afterlife.

Rewind 30 minutes ago,

Shots fired everywhere as you watched one bullet successfully hitting Jett and killed her. With this, you fell into a fit of rage as Jett was a close friend. You froze time and killed 2 enemies before time started and they shot an arm and a leg and extreme pain filled your mind. On instinct you summoned a clone to block the shots and it blinded them which gave you some time to take cover and heal. But Sage was on the other side of the map. With only Yoru at your side, the three enemies remaining started rushing to plant the spike that steals radianite from the surrounding area. You killed one of them before getting shot in your other arm and you stumbled back into your corner.

"Fuck, I'm going to fucking die at this point."

As a last resort you used your Time freeze ability again and threw multiple projectiles at them which gave you more time to retreat. You created another Clone which acted as bait for when they were going to break out of the time prison.

You aimed your gun at an enemy agent. You pulled the trigger which ultimately led to their demise.

"Yoru, tell Sage I'm gonna rest for a bit."

"Okay, bro." And he got shot in the leg. "Kuso" he muttered.

Some time later Sage finally arrived. You were heavily bleeding out and with Sage's help you overcame your wounds and started running back to where Yoru was holding off the enemies. You shot a bullet which served as a warning shot because you missed. (Lol bad aim Irons)

And In return, you got shot three more times as Sage can't heal you due to her ability cool down time.

You tried to fight back more which led to your demise.

3 hours later...

'Fuck did I die?'

'It's been a long time since I had been killed and shot like this. Awww man my whole body is sore.'

You looked over to your left to find an alive Omen and Jett lying on their beds unwoken. You stood up knowing full well you still needed to recover even though Sage revived you.

Then, Neon came barging in.
"You dumbass, trying to act all chivalrous. You could have fucking died for real out there." Neon vented on as she wiped tears off her face.

"Why did you risk your life like that huh?." "You could have actually died an-and I would be really really sad that you had actually died."

"Neon." you said as she looked into your eyes. "I'm sorry." And you kissed her very softly and sweetly.

Her eyes glowed as she blushes and pouted. "Well, um sorry isn't good enough!" She said as she crossed her arms.

"Oh really? What can I do for you then?" You said amused.

"Umm maybe you could kiss me again?"

"Gladly." As you took her lips and captured it with yours.

Sorry I haven't published a chapter in a while I've been too busy reading solo levelling. That being said should I make a solo levelling fanfic/oneshot? If so choose between these two:
