1998

Sunny days were Sarah's favourite days. She liked the feeling of the sun hitting her face as she played. With school out for the summer and no responsibilities to worry about, Sarah loved the freedom.

"No, Sally! Give it back!" Jacob screamed, pulling the ball closer to him and trying to push his sister out of the way.

Sarah let out a frustrated shout. "No! I had it first" She pushed Jacob back. "Mooom!"

A laughter exploded from the houses porch. Billy Black had to lean back as he laughed even harder. A twelve year old Rachel laughed alongside her father. Sarah turned her head towards them, anger bubbling even harder when she realized they were laughing at her. She didn't say anything, then she looked back at her brother.

Her mothers voice echoed from inside. "Jake! Len! Behave!"

Jacob seemed successful to have the ball all to himself, it angered Sarah even more. So, she pushed him to the floor, took the ball now free from his hands and ran away, towards the beach. It couldn't be that far. The girl heard her siblings and father call for her, but it just made her run faster.

Her rage blinded her, blinded her right senses. Everything was just a big cloud of anger. Her thoughts, her emotions, her actions, everything just one big thing. Even if it was too much for her little body, her feet never stopped.

She completely forgot what was supposed to happen that day, Sarah couldn't even care at that point. She didnt care her fathers weirds friends and their families were coming over. She didnt care about the importance of the day. Her mother had explained her and her siblings about it, but she didn't care now. Getting to the beach was the most important thing at the moment.

Sarah couldnt say how long had she been running for, usually her father drove them with the truck. She had never walked there, and that made her doubt she was even in the right place. But after a while more, she heard the waves.
