The world is a cruel place. Life is a curse, death a gift. Death is peaceful, life a living hell. The balance between the two is ment to stay in place. You feel almost at ease, like a weight is lifted of your shoulders. Thing is, you always wonder who really cares, or did for that matter. Who is left standing at your funeral? Who is now forced to cry themselves to sleep every night now that you're gone? Who is haunted by your memory? You'll never know. Never fully trust anyone, always play allies, keep your guard up at all costs, never let them see you break.

Make a list, start with who you loved, then the ones you cared about even the slightest bit, finally the ones you hated. Now, think back to all those times when you would see them, cross off the ones you never thought anything about. Got those off? Pull all the good memories about those you hated, cross off the names that you have no good memories of. Next, count how many you have left. I want you to think about the people You loved. Do they love you back? Time to find out.

"Sabe, Come on!"

There's one.

"Come on kid!"

Two.

"LaSabera!"

Three.

"How long has she been like this!?!"

Four.

"I don't know, just do something!"

Five.

"Come on Sabe!"

Six.

"What happened!?!"

Seven.

"She's not breathing!"

Eight.

"Do something!"

Nine. How many names did you have left? Subtract the number you just got from the names you had left, the answer is how many people didn't care. Fascinating, isn't it? To think you wasted your time on people who never cared.

LIAM

"Dude, you have don't do this. You could've helped with Sabe." Mason says.

"Yes, I do. It's not like she's waking up anytime soon anyways." I argue trying not to worry about my girlfriend.

"She'll be fine."

"Come on, let's go." I say beginning to jog. Mason keeps up at first, then random worst case scenarios run through my head, my pace quickness leaving Mason in the dust. I come to a stop and look back, no sign of my friend. I ahead before I'm hit by a car.

"Hey, Liam." Garrett practically sneers.

LASABERA

Are humans more concerned with having, than being?

OBLIVION - the paralysis state of body function. During oblivion, mind drifts to dangerous places inside the subconsciousness of feelings. The state of being, rather than living. The breathing stops, but the heart still barely beats.

OBLIVIOUS - the state of being under oblivion.

Your life seems to fade away. Your deepest memories attack.

"Ahh, sorry. Here let me help." A tall boy about my age, curly blonde hair, green eyes, picks up my books before pulling me off the ground.
