"Scott, look, I don't care! I'm not going back to Eichen, ever!" I snap walking down the hallway making people look at me.

"Deaton said it was safest." Scott argues.

"For who!?! Everyone but me! He promised Talia that he'd protect me and Derek at any cost. Putting me in Eichen broke that promise."

"Did you hear that?" Scott whispers.

My eyes widen as I take off. I run through the hallways until I make it to the weight room. Not noticing Mason, I lift the 400lb weight with one hand locking it back in place. I help Liam sit up.

"Look, you don't have to be with us, just don't shut your friends out too." Scott says in his alpha tone before walking off with Mason.

I intertwine my hand with Liam's, he gives me worried look. I avoid his gaze and stare at the floor.

"Just don't get yourself killed in the process." I say before getting up and walking away.

Liam looks like a kicked puppy. I walk out down the long, empty hallway. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. This isn't a life I would've chosen for myself, or anyone, not even Peter.

"All you have is your fire, and the place you need to reach. Don't you ever tame your demons, but always keep them on a leash." I sing rocking back and forth with my knees curled to my chest.

I left school early to be alone, I walked to my loft so that nobody would realize that I left. I left the lights off and lit a candle. I inhale and exhale slowly, wanting the darkness inside to go away.

I slowly open the package Ethan left for me. I bite down hard on lip when I begin reading the note inside on top of a necklace...

Amber,

I'm sorry that this is happening to you, just remember no matter how much you want to, you can't give in to the Balephilix. Aiden and I, we didn't stand a chance. You have to be a big girl now, fight it, hold on. Aiden wanted to give you the necklace on your eighteenth birthday, he's gone, and now so am I, a few years early but it'll still hold it's purpose. Read the note inside the pendant, it was another one of his. Just stay strong, never let anything break you. Just because you're strong doesn't mean that you can't show emotion, crying doesn't make you weak, but holding back your emotions does. I know that it all seems like hell now, but it always gets better, just hold on. Everyone around you seems to be dying young, but we all need you to stay strong. I love you Amber.

I choke on sobs as the tears pour. I crumble up the note and fall to my knees. The note rolls out of my hand and to the floor. I slowly stand and look around. Another tear rolls down my face. I wipe it away aggressively.

"You're pathetic." A voice sneers in my head. I rip off my shirt and stare blankly at the bathroom door. I walk over and fling the door open. I turn on the bath water and leave it run. The tub fills and I turn it off. I take one last look in the mirror. I scowl at my appearance and punch the mirror shattering it. Leaving my clothes on, I step into the bath. I stare at the ceiling."I can't do this anymore." I say slipping into the water. My eyes still open, my breath not held, water cocoons my body. I continue to stare at the ceiling until my eyes give out. My lungs burn, I need air, but I'm not taking it. A strong wind blows and a lit candle falls into the water. I shoot up gasping for breath. My eyes widen when I read the message on the mirror on the back of the door.

Stay strong, don't do it. Even if you feel that you can escape from it all.
