Feef had received a text message from an unknown number while she was out with her team working on the interior design of a house for a new client. Her heart almost skipped a beat thinking about the possibility of the contents of the message. With a shaken breath, she opened the text to see the details of the design that she needed to work on. It was a message sent by the daughter of her client who wanted to decorate her room a certain way. Feef's paranoia was actually getting to her. Every time she received a notification from an unknown number, her heart almost stopped beating.
She came back home exhausted after working long hours at the mansion. Her team had to wrap up the project in a month and she was worried sick about meeting the deadline. The pay was great, but the time was limited, and so everyone worked their ass off to get the work done on time. It was already 9 pm and Dan wasn't home. For the past week, he had been coming home very late. Due to her hectic schedule, there were days when she had gone to sleep before Dan came back home. She had called him, and he picked up the phone, informing her that he would reach home later tonight and that she should go to sleep because she had to get up early.
Though Feef was very busy with the deadlines, she didn't want to sleep before Dan arrived home. Even when she had tried to stay awake, she had fallen asleep while working on the designs this past week. She didn't get time to spend with Dan and she felt bad. She wanted to spend time with him and she had decided that after the project was wrapped up, she would go to Canberra with Dan.
Feef didn't realise when she had fallen asleep on the sofa waiting for Dan to come while she worked on her designs. She had woken up with a start when someone tried to lift her in his arms.
"Dan, you scared me. I waited so long for you." She said groggily as he lifted her in his arms and placed her on the bed. The room was so dark that she couldn't even see the outline of Dan, and weirdly, she felt so tired; her eyelids felt heavy that she couldn't open her eyes, and she instantly fell asleep. She had wanted to wake up to greet Dan and spend time with him but she felt so exhausted.
Feef woke up dead tired the next day, she blamed the exhaustion of the prior weeks. She had woken up late and had hurriedly rushed for her office. Dan had already left for work and she felt so guilty for sleeping through the night and also the morning. They hadn't gotten time to spend with each other and she felt like it was all her fault.
Her team was already there and she had apologised for being late. She had then gotten to her work, discussed her ideas with the client's daughter and had gotten to sketching out the interior as per her likeness. There were quite some modifications that she needed to work on. The day went by and she came back home dead tired. The entire day, she had felt bloated and felt a slight crampy pain in her abdomen, for which she took some painkillers. This time, Dan was already home, and she was glad she was able to see him before going to bed. The past week had been a blur for her with the overwhelming work.
"Dan you are home early!" She chirped seeing him make dinner for them as she hugged him from the back.
"Yeah. I really wanted some time with my wifey. It's been a while since I cooked something, and we ate together."
"I know! The work is killing me." She told him as Dan turned around, and Feef tiptoed to kiss him square on the lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck, causing him to smile.
"You go freshen up while I finish cooking it." He said after they broke their kiss.
"Yep, I need to. Your ass looks hot," she said as she smacked his butt cheek before running to their room to change.
Feef changed into her pyjamas after taking a shower while Dan rushed in to take a quick shower. In the meantime, she made some raita and salad and dished out the pulao he had prepared.
