Dan drove recklessly to the hospital. He was worried sick thinking about Feef and what could have potentially led her to be hospitalised. He met Mustafa near the ED who informed him about Feef's room and he immediately ran to her.

"Feef what happened? Are you feeling better now? Do you want anything?..." Dan asked all at once.

"Ssshhh, I am fine." Feef placed her finger on his lips. "Stop worrying about me. Nothing happened to me... and before you start protesting, I really am fine Dan. I blacked out because I am pregnant." She said excitedly.

"You...are...pregnant?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yep. Are you not happy?" Feef asked Dan with dimmed enthusiasm.

"I am absolutely elated Feef! You made me the happiest man on earth," he told Feef with a grin before engulfing her in a bear hug and kissing the daylights out of her.

"I can't believe it we are going to be parents!" He uttered shocked as he stroked her flat belly causing butterflies to erupt in Feef's stomach.

They both left the hospital with a warm fuzzy feeling of becoming parents soon. It was a mix of excitement and anxiety because it wasn't planned. They hadn't thought of becoming parents because they wanted to focus on their career. But now they were expecting a baby, they couldn't be beyond each other.

"Careful Feef," Dan said as she stumbled upon entering the house and he prevented her fall.

"Sorry, I didn't see it," she said sheepishly seeing worry lace Dan. Somehow he had started taking over the protective father role the moment he heard she was pregnant despite his initial moment of disbelief.

"Are you hungry? Should I fix you something?" He asked.

"Nope, I am not hungry. We just ate Dan."

"Yeah but if you are hungry let me know. Wake me up even if it's the middle of the night," he told her sincerely.

"You are unreal Dan. Why are you so nice? If I am hungry I can fix myself a meal don't worry. I have already stressed you a lot. Go sleep! I think it's nausea I am more concerned about than hunger." She told him stroking his face before pecking him on the lips.

"Come let's go to sleep," she dragged him to their room. They had to go to their respective offices tomorrow so they called it a night.

The next couple of days went by in a blur with Dan wrapping up his office work so that he and Feef could go on a vacation. He was again coming home very late, Feef's emotions on some days were all over the place and other days she was overjoyed to know that she was going to be a mother. She didn't think the knowledge would make her this happy. She hadn't informed her parents or her family yet. Dan and Feef had decided that they would surprise them together when they meet in Dubai.

As much as she longed to go to Pakistan and break this news to them there, she knew that was not going to be a possibility anytime soon. She hadn't visited Pakistan in 10 years and she was scared to even return back home. The power Mustafa's family yielded in Pakistan was unparalleled. With time it had only grown multiple folds so much so that seeing Mustafa in Australia scared her. His father was the current Prime Minister of Pakistan while his elder brother Talal, was also running in office as a chair person of their party. It came as no surprise to Feef that Talal wasn't liked by the masses; he was reckless, impulsive and short tempered. But still that murderer had a lot of power. There was talks of him becoming the Foreign Minister and this knowledge alone made Feef barf.

As much as Feef tried to put up a strong face, she dreaded the power Isfahani's had. Even though, her family was influential, her dad was an industrialist and he yielded quite a lot of power himself but it was nothing compared to Asad Isfahani as he was not a politician. Over the years, their business had thrived too but he didn't have the hooligans that Mustafa's family did. Her dad was rich, probably richer than Isfahani's but he didn't have blind followers like Asad. In certain underserved regions of Pakistan, Asad Isfahani was considered akin to a Prophet. He was a Peer and countless blind, illiterate followers of his would kill and die for him in a heartbeat. Not to mention he was in cohoots with mafia men to further his regime and wipe out his enemies.
