Atsushi dashed through the thick woods, the sharp leaves and branches scratching at his arms and legs as he tried to follow after M/n's trail. However, the further he went, the more lost he became, until he eventually lost M/n completely.

He stopped in his tracks, as he passed another spindly tree, noticing its familiarity. Was he going in circles?

He looked back at the direction where he came from and back again. Everything looked familiar.... excluding the formation of those trees over there, and maybe the color of that bush right across from it?

Well.. that answered his question...he's lost...

Atsushi let out a nervous quiver at the realization and racked his brain on what to do.
Maybe he can call the agency. Yes. That seemed like a straightforward plan! He turned on the phone in his pocket.

No bars...
Nevermind He's screwed

Maybe he could listen around for any sign of M/n, even the sound of branches snapping would do!

....

....

....

Nothing....

He doesn't even know how to get back

Atsushi decided to just continue running, maybe he'll find someone aside from M/n. Maybe someone camping? Or taking a nice walk, yes someone who is probably taking a night stroll through this very. Dark. Spooky. Forest.

_____A few minutes later____

Well no M/n. But, hey, he had company, albeit they aren't human.... Just nocturnal animals enjoying the night.

Atsushi resorted to walking instead to save his energy. He walked and walked until he either finds something or gets the hell out of this forest.

then he caught a whiff of a familiar stench.

He quickly sped up, climbed a small hill and there it was, the source of the strong putrid smell. The smell of blood.

A web of bloodshed. Bits and pieces of torn flesh dangled on thin threads, slowly rotting, and oozing out of random limbs, each filled with a fair share of maggots that wriggled and squirmed around feasting on their meal as swarms of flies buzzed overhead, flying around the bodies and enjoying the smell of decay.

Atsushi's stomach churned as he stumbled upon the gruesome scene, his hand instinctively covering his mouth to muffle the sound and to keep himself from vomiting. He couldn't bear to look at the tangled, decaying mess before him, and when his legs could no longer hold his weight, he fell to the ground, his stomach convulsing as he vomited what was left of his dinner.

His ears twitched as a faint crunch echoed nearby. It felt... sharp, almost too clear, as though his senses were betraying him. It was then he knew he had to run.

He had to get out of there fast, he pushed himself off the ground and made a run for it. Unaware of where he was going, he crashed through some type of large cobweb that covered his sight and due to this, Atsushi slid and tumbled down the rocky hillside that he was on, letting out a yelp of surprise.
