Chapter 9

Chapter 9 (Katie's POV)

I wake and there is a cup of coffee on my bedside table, my cloak reads "9am" and I have three hours until work. Grabbing my cup, that is still hot I walk to the lounge room and find Cole and Elliot watching a recorded football game.

"Morning guys" I say through a yawn.

"Morning" Cole replies.

Elliot's climbs over the couch and greets me with a kiss, I thank him for the coffee and for his restraint last night. It was the alcohol talking and I knew I would have regretted it in the morning, not because of Elliot but because I wasn't sober.

"It was hard but I wouldn't have done it anyway, not while you were in that state." He whispers as I laugh.

"What are you guys talking about?" Dani asks, walking from the bathroom.

"Nothing" I cover up, but I think she catches my blush.

She rolls her eyes and sits on the lounge, telling Cole she has to work tomorrow, but one of our tutorials overlap her shift.

"Call your manager and tell her." He says simply.

She nods with a grim face and gets off the lounge to find her phone.

Elliot leaves shortly after, because he has to open the engraving shop at 10:30. I walk him to the door and say goodbye with a kiss, turning back to find Dani's inquisitive look...oh no!

She grabs my wrist and leads me to her room, as Cole yells 'bye' behind us and she closes her door.

She gives me one look and tells me to spill it, I tell her we didn't do anything, just cuddled that is why I thanked him this morning. She says I am boring and is amazed that Elliot showed restraint. But once I tell her I was only in underwear and a singlet after I changed and got into bed she is shocked.

"You have a gentleman there if he stayed away from you all night!" she exclaims.

"I can remember myself almost begging for sex once I started to hear you, you're a steam train" I blush at the same time she does.

"Really, you begging no way! And hey I can't help it!" She says blushing even further.

"Ok can I go and get ready for work now?"

"Yeah sure" Dani winks and follows me out of her bedroom.

I get to work early and my boss thanks me for my punctuality before I start on the line up of smoothies.

That afternoon we were so busy at work, all I wanted to do was go to sleep once I got home. Dani asked how my day was when I walk through the door and all I did was put my hand up and say 'don't ask'.

But being the great friend she is she made me a coffee and told me we will order in tonight and have a girl's night because Cole has gone home.

We order pizza and sit on the lounge watching chick flicks until Dani wakes me and tells me to go to bed. Once in my bedroom I look at my phone to turn my alarm off. I have a text from Elliot-*Hope you had a good day :) I will call you tomorrow, sleep well xo*- I smile to myself and text back before going to sleep.

The next morning Dani and I had an early morning tutorial, so we left early after grabbing travel mugs of coffee.

The tutorial drags on about techniques of drama and ways to use them correctly, but a smile comes to my face when my phone buzzes. *Your tutorial finishes in 20 mins, hang in there ;) I have a surprise, Cole is in on it xo* I text back and whisper to Dani that we have a waiting surprise.
