Chapter 3

Chapter 3 (Elliot's POV)

"Ok, Yes, Thankyou Caroline." I finish talking and hang up my mobile.

They really think she is ready to know and she is going to be in Newcastle tomorrow night! I decide to call Jesse and see what he is up to.

"Nar man I am already going out tomorrow night with my mate Cole." Jesse says over the line.

"Where you headed?" I ask, not expecting what I hear.

"The east, why?"

As he speaks the nick name of our favorite club, I almost drop my phone. That is the club Paul and Caroline said Katie was going to tomorrow night.

"That's where I was going! Who did you say you were going with?" I ask.

"My mate Cole is introducing me to his girlfriend Dani, or something. Anyway she is bringing her roommate and best friend Katie and a whole lot of others. There is going to be like 10 of us, I don't really know." He laughs and I smile as he mentions a 'Katie'.

"Do you mind if I hang?"

"Not at all man, should be good."

"Cool see you tomorrow night, what time?"

"We are meeting up around eight."

"Cool I will be there, got to get back to work man bye." I say hanging up.

I get to see her again, I truly do.

The rest of the day at Dads shop drags but I get home late and jump straight into bed.

"Fuck its 8pm you idiot, just throw something together." I say out loud staring in my mirror. I was supposed to be at the club like now! Why am I so nervous? Get it together man.

I throw the first thing I put on, back on and mess my hair up before grabbing my keys, wallet and leaving.

The crowd is big like normal but I soon spot Jesse standing with about five other guys. I walk over and shake hands with them before noticing what they are all looking at. Four beautiful girls have a spot on the checkered dance floor and there moves are so fine.

I spot Katie instantly amounst the four girls, she is the only one with blonde hair and I can't help it when my mouth falls open. She. Is. Gorgeous. Just like I remember in my dreams and at the lake.

She wears her blonde hair out and curly, shaping her boobs perfectly. Her silver, short dress shows off her legs and she looks amazing.

I am soon pulled out of my trance by,

"Cole which ones did you say were single?" Jesse screams over the music to the guy beside me.

"Hey dude I call dibs on the blonde." I say sternly, elbowing him in the ribs.

"Katie 'the blonde' and Ali 'the one with black hair' are single, but good luck with Katie man she doesn't date often." Cole says directed at me, before strutting to the dance floor and joining the girls.

She doesn't date often? I wonder why, she is beautiful, and she is going to be mine!

When we all arrive on the dance floor one of the two brunettes start to dance up next to Cole, I guess that is his girlfriend....Dani? We all start dancing to the beat but with the lights this bright, it's hard to see who you are dancing with.

The other brunette in the group orders a round of shots and I can already guess she is out for a good night.

We down the shots and continue to drink, until someone says we should sit down.

We all sit around mine and J's usual spot in the V.I.P section of the club before making introductions.

Cole introduces the others sitting around the table to Jesse and I. As names are said I mentally note- Ash is Damien's girlfriend, Dani is Coles girlfriend, Ali is the black-haired girls name, (but Jesse's eyes twitch as he acknowledges Ali's name, he is interested). When J introduces me, my face falls slightly when Katie doesn't react to me or my name.

During the intro's water is passed around and I am grateful, I don't want a hangover.

Cole and Damien start to be annoyed by their girlfriends and soon they give in and we are back on the dance floor. A place I can continue to check out Katie's dance moves, she has changed so much since we were seven....

More shots are passed around and I can feel myself get more and more drunk and soon I see the same effects on others.

The guy with black hair- Nick I think his name is, is making out with some random chick and has his hands on her ass. Not a good first drunken impression mate, I frown and ask myself how a guy can take advantage of a girl like that?

Soon J and I are back at the table with a few others including Katie, her voice is still the same just more grown up. In the light I take the advantage and soak up all of her features, branding them in my memory.

She leaves to go to the bathroom with Ali and Cole comes back to the table, saying Dani went with them.

The three girls soon emerge from the bathroom and Hall us all to the dance floor once again. They start dancing but soon make it clear who they want to dance with.

To my surprise, Katie begins to get closer to me and continues to dance. I am shocked at first but melt into her scent and start to move, taking her with me.

For the rest of the night it is clear that Katie likes me and all I can think to myself is "Score". I am invited back to her apartment with Cole and Dani and to my surprise I accept. Leaving Jesse with the others I climb into the white swift (That is clearly Dani's). Cole drives the three hours back to their apartment, leaving his car at the club.

Katie falls asleep on my shoulder half way there and I wonder to myself what compelled them to come out this far, for one night out?

The car trip is soon over and with Dani's encouragement I carry Katie up the stairs, into the apartment and I am shown to her room.

Once I place Katie on her bed and cover her, I walk out of her room and Dani and Cole both seem confused.

"I am sorry for intruding like this, I should have stayed in Newcastle, is there anywhere I can sleep?" I ask politely.

"Yeah man, hey no worries, Katie invited you after all." Cole says and Dani points to Katie's room.

"Why don't you just sleep with her?" She says drunkenly.

"I wouldn't take advantage of a girl like that, what if she woke up and had no idea who I was?" I say simply.

She says "Your loss", grabs some blankets out of the linen cupboard and set's me up on the lounge. She is then running down the hall, clutching Cole's hand and closing a bedroom door. I laugh, a little embarrassed but after lying down I fall asleep fast.
