Izuku spends his time at home idily, hesitant to touch the nail polish you had given him just a few days before.
Would the other guys think he was weird? What about Uraraka? Would Kacchan bully him over it? He isn't sure.
It's simple: A black, glossy lacquer. It is a brand he doesn't recognize - YSL. Based on the design of the little bottle, though, it seems to be rather... Expensive.
When you had given it to him, you were hesitant to tell him where you'd gotten it from.
He fidgets with the strawberry earrings he was wearing. The little red studs in his ears caught the sunlight from his window shortly before dimming again.
Izuku had never been one to care about his appearance. He had always taken minimal care of himself. He showered once a day, used a two-in-one on his fluffy green hair, a bar of soap on his newly strengthened body, and occasionally splashed his face with water. He wore simplistic outfits, usually tee shirts and shorts or pants, depending on the weather.
Nowadays, he's transitioned to being much more self conscious. He still showers once a day, but now he makes sure to use two separate products. His hair thanks him. Once simply fluffy (frizzy, even), the strands on his head now bounce with life, shining in the sun and silky to the touch. He uses a berry scented body wash, making sure to clean every centimeter of himself, head to toe. And his outfits - he recently discovered how much he likes sweaters. Soft, hand-knit sweaters (or at least they appeared to be) in shades of his signature green but also in neutral beiges that made him look sweet. His skin glows with health with the few serums he's started asking his mother to buy for him. He discovered how good his skin seemed to be naturally, but now that he's started, he just can't seem to stop.
He glances into the little hand mirror he'd set on his desk. He looked good. And that felt good.
He smiles, relaxing his muscles.
'Why should I care what they think? I wanna... give it a shot!' With a swift gesture, he snatches the nail polish and unscrews it.

Shoto finds himself checking his phone frequently these days.
Wanna go to the mall?
There's a new restaurant opening nearby, let's check it out!
Midoriya-san found a street vendor selling Hero Merch and thinks u should come along!
How r u?
Boss is in a good mood, u should come visit today, bring Midoriya-san too!
He never had many friends.
Midoriya was the closest thing he could call to a friend at the moment. Well, except for you.
He recalls all the fun, random, silly things you'd do together. It doesn't matter whether it's just the two of you, or if Midoriya comes along, him and Midoriya alone, or even if you invite your friend - Taniguchi, was it? He can't quite remember; she tended to blend into you a bit too much for him to tell you apart.
Shoto felt happy to finally be able to have some people that support him. It gave him the strength to stand up to his father, at least a little more than before. He still can't directly go against his father's wishes. But... If he doesn't say 'no', then he can still do it, right?
Earlier that day, he had told his father he was going out to practice on his own for a while, and didn't want him to see since, what he was working on was a 'big surprise'!
...
He sent a text to the group chat.
Shoto: I'm on my way.
Bush Boy: See you there!
Princess: right next to the toy store
Sailor Eris: already there XD
Shoto turns off his location tracking and puts his phone in his pocket. He grabs his bag and dashes out of his home, though he forgets his wallet (as usual).
You know what they say.
Strict parents make sneaky kids.

Katsuki glares at the journal in his hands.
Every time the two of you met up to work on your quirk, he would keep a journal when he was entranced to write things down on. Documenting symptoms, emotions, physical reactions, thoughts, reactions, everything.
It's... Embarassing.
"Damn it!!" he grumbles, throwing it at the floor.
Why? Why was he cursed to feel like this?
As humiliating as it is to admit, he always thought that he would only get this kind of feeling with his one true love. His one, real, true love.
Contrary to popular belief, Katsuki is actually quite emotionally sensitive. Not just sensitive in the way that he's prone to bursts of anger, but sensitive in the way that he's surprisingly empathetic (when he allows himself to be) and sentimental (again, when he allows himself to be).
He always dreamed of finding someone who loved him unconditionally, not in the way that his parents do because... Well, they're his parents. It's their job to love him. But no, he wants to find the one that would deal with him even when he's moody and accept that he's grouchy and sometimes unpleasant. Most of all, he wants someone that accepts that he's capable of being vulnerable too. Even though he's afraid of feeling that way.
He feels himself begin to tear up with frustration.
It isn't even real.
Now, he isn't even sure if he could ever feel like this with someone else again. Someone real.
It's not like you treat him much better.
Every time you look at him, he sees your fear. Fear that he'll end up like everyone else. Fear that he'll become deluded and insane. Fear that he'll grow angry and hurt you.
He knows you don't like him.
And he knows he doesn't like you.
So why is it that fate has forced him to play on the same field with you?
He doesn't understand.
Nobody would explain this situation to him.
And so he would have to just go along, feeling uncomfortable, unstable, and unhappy.
...
Katsuki hates himself.
