Semona's life in Piltover was a whole new atmosphere for her and she could never quite fit in among the Piltovians but things would never be the same after meeting a certain someone in Zaun and finding her place in this new city. Read more to find o...
The palm of my hands turned yellow, as I stepped backwards, leaning against the tree. A coloured ray covered the branches, as a few of Zaunites ran away. The ground underneath my feet shook slightly, as I lost control over my body. Then, all of a sudden, a vision came before me and I felt like I was in some sort of white dewy area What in the outer body experience is this? I wondered to myself. Walking around, I caught a glimpse of my sister, speaking to someone. "Mel!" I called out, but she couldn't hear me. As I stepped closer, I detected that she was speaking to..Leblanc!
"What is she?! Surely, you must know that!" my sister asked, as Leblanc sighed in frustration, waving her black palm-covered fingers around a black mist. "I do not know, sister! That is what I'm trying to figure out!" she replied, as Mel sighed back. "But what if she's dangerous? As much as I love my sister, I don't want to see her get hurt or anyone else!" she spoke. Another man's voice interrupted the conversation as I turned my head to their direction, and immediately recognised that it was none other than Vladimir himself. "Are you two still going on about the new threat?" he said, walking towards them. "That threat, you are referring to, is my sister!" Mel defiantly replied. "Yes, yes, dear, I know! But delving even deeper into this a step closer is dangerous...even for us" he answered. Leblanc abruptly stopped waving her hand, and took another big sigh. "Unforeseen turns are simply part of any path. Piltover was a lesson, Vladimir. Calamity is always approaching. In some moments, its arrival is more imminent than others. Our next move must be bolder, not safer!" she replied. A sheet of blackness clouded around me, as I heard someone call my name. "Semona! Semona!"
As I arose from my slumber, it was Scar who called out to me, as he brought me up to speed. "Are you alright?" he asked, a concerned look etched on his face. "Y-yeah, I think so. What happened? You look a little..troubled" I asked, as he closed his eyes before speaking. "It's hard to explain. You're not going to like what you hear" he said, as I got of out my bed, but was hit by a wave of fatigue, exhaustion and nausea at the same time. "Just..give it to me straight." I said, as he sighed. "You..almost brought the whole of the Firelight Hideout down. 2 of the children were injured in the process". My hand immediately went to my mouth, astonished at Scar's confession. "Are they alright?!!" I asked, as he nodded his head. "They're fine, a little shaken with a couple of cuts and bruises, but they'll be fine. The kids are tough here" he said, giving me a small, encouraging smile. "That's not the point, Scar! I could've killed someone today!" I replied, as he stopped me.
"That's not all there was" he said. "Ok, what else is there?" I curiously asked. "After your, um, powers stopped, you started to have a seizure and you were foaming at the mouth, a lot, which explains why you're also feeling exhausted. Our medic managed to keep your seizures under control before you blacked out" he continued, as I slumped my body at the back of the bed frame. "So, not only am I danger to the people of Zaun, but I'm also a danger to myself. It's just like they said!" I mumbled the last part to myself. "Just like who said?" Scar asked, not realising I said that bit too loud. "Nevermind, it's nothing. I don't know how I'm going to explain this to Ekko when he gets back. It would be wrong to keep this from, because I know one of the kids will say something" I said, worrying and stressing out of my mind. "Ekko will understand" was all Scar said, as he walked out, leaving me to my own thoughts.
Golden hour had approached, as I stepped out of my room, spotting a few of the kids eating and playing. As I went to go and talk to them, they immediately ran to the other side of the hideout. Great, so now I'm a monster. Heading towards the dining area to grab something to eat, Crystal placed some stew in my bowl. "Hey, how are you feeling?" she asked, as a tear slowly dripped down my cheek. "Terrible is one way to put it. I came here yesterday thinking my new life would start, only to have it ripped away from me. I'm a monster." I said, as she pulled me to one side and gave me a big hug. "Don't say that! You're not a monster! There's something on the inside of you that you don't understand and that's okay! Sure, the kids are frightened right now, but not because of you. We can all help you figure this out" she said, as I wiped the tears from my eyes. "Thanks Crystal, that means a lot" I replied. "Hey, what are friends for?" she said, as I chuckled.
The entrance doors to the hideout cracked opened, signalling Ekko and the firelights were back. "The firelights are back!" one of the kids shouted, as they all crowded around him, including Sephora and her mother. "Let me get Ekko for you, before these kids blurt out anything" Crystal replied, as she walked towards Ekko. "Where's Ajuna and Ren?" Ekko asked, setting his hoverboard down. "They're hurt really badly! Semona-" one of the kids was about to reveal the accident until Crystal cut in. "Ekko, you got a minute? You kids need to wind down now" she replied, as they groaned before heading off. "Did something happen today? Ekko asked. "Yes, but I'll leave it to you and Semona to talk. She's up in her room. Have a good night" she said. "Thanks Crystal. You too" Ekko replied, before heading to Semona's room
A small knock presented on my door, as Ekko walked in, giving me the biggest hug and a small kiss on my cheek. "I must admit, I did miss you today. Next mission, I'll definitely bring you with me. Crystal said you wanted to speak to me?" he asked, as I nodded my head and patted the side of the bed for him to sit down. I began to explain everything from the powers, to injuring the kids and myself, along with the vision. "It's heavy, I know" I said, about to get up, before he engulfed his arms around me. Overwhelmness and sorrow filled my heart, as I cried into his chest. "I don't know what's happening to me Ekko! I don't want to hurt anyone else. I don't want to hurt...you" I cried, as he pulled me in tighter. "You won't. We'll figure this out together" he responded, as I continued to cry into his arms before falling asleep.
The next morning, as I woke up to start my day, Ekko was absent from my bed this time, as I searched to see where he was. He came into my room, almost startling to me, carrying a package in his arm. "This came in today for you" he said, placing the parcel in my hand. "Last time I received mail, it was a letter from my sister about my mother's return to Piltover. It's addressed from her as well!" I said, hesitant to open it "You don't have to open it if you're not ready" Ekko said, as I took a deep breath. Unfastening the package, a small invitation stuck to a second package, engraved with the Noxus emblem as I read the letter aloud:

Dear Semona
I trust you are keeping well. I've been handed the responsibility to host one of Noxus's annual ballroom parties and I would love for you to come. The Noxian ships will arrive in 3 days at the dock. Enclosed in the other package is 2 outfits: one for you and for a plus one, if you wish to bring one. I look forward to seeing you! We have...a lot to discuss.
With all my love
Mel Medarda
Opening the other parcel revealed 4 Noxian outfits, both male and female attire: one for everyday use and the other for the party. I assumed she knew about Ekko too
"A party sounds interesting. Now, will you go back home to find the answers you're looking for?" he asked me, as I sighed. "You're right. I have to face my fears. Time to go back home..alone." I said as he laughed. "You know I'm coming with you right? I'm in this with you til the end" he said, folding his arms. I couldn't argue with the boy.
Finally back with another chapter! Sorry, it's been a while. Was stuck in writer's block and lost motivation to continue, but trying to get back into it when I can
UPDATE - I may come back to this story when I have more ideas around Noxus and how it ties with Semona and Ekko's story, but for now, I will end it here....unfinished
