I looked up at Andy, surprised to see him standing over me. I wiped my eyes and he said "Need a buddy?" I nodded and he sat down. "Grace gets it, by the way. She said her mom did the same thing after they finally got to the hospital a few hours ago." That made Lindsey start balling again. "Oh geez, uh.. Sorry.... Here.... Uh..." Andy said. He slowly reached his arm around the upset girl and pulled her close. Lindsey grabbed onto Andy and hugged him, crying onto his shoulder. "It's ok Lins.... It's ok.... Grace is ok..." Andy said, awkwardly patting her back. Lindsey's mom came down the hall and made eye contact with Andy, motioning to him that it was time for Lindsey to leave. Andy led the crying girl to her mother and watched them out. But instead of feeling sad for Grace, he had butterflies. Butterflies that He had just held Lindsey in his arms.

When Lindsey finally got home it was about 1 o'clock. She shut herself in her room and lay on her bead, all cried out. Then, she saw her phone. She
has 14 texts and 5 voicemails.

Liz (7:30) omg how is ur date going??
(9:47) Lins? It must be going good if u don't have ur phone ;)
(10:57) OMG ANSWER UR PHONE
(11:00) ANSWER PLZ
(11:02) LINS THIS IS IMPORTANT GRACE IS IN THE HOSPITAL

Jack(11:10) hey I just wanted to say I had fun today! Wanna come to my hockey game sat @ 11 at ? I can pick u up around 10!

Andy(11:02) did u hear what happened? R u coming to the hospital?

Chrissy (10:59) Lins! Answer ur phone!

Ben (10:55) hey r u going to the hospital for Grace? Is it weird if I go? Would Liz b mad?
(11:00) grace wants u to come and so does Liz
(11:05) shit Liz is crying do I put my arm around her
(11:10) come to the hospital!!!!!!!! -Liz
(11:11) shit I think Liz saw those txts
(11:12) ok she's too sad to b mad

She deleted all the texts but one. The one from Jack.

Lindsey: hey Jack sounds fun can't wait!

Then Lindsey closed her eyes and fell asleep.
