The rat and the coyote

On the morning of a sunny day,

A rat decides to go out to play,

He makes his way to the corn field,

Very far from his house, very far afield,

He assumes he will be able to rest

He looks around and notices a coyote, one of the cruelest,

Chasing a poor lost rabbit.

Sadly, fear stops the rat from going after the culprit,

After all, what could he do, him, a little rat,

He isn't the right size, isn't the right format.

To prevent others from more peril,

He repeats what he just witnessed to the animal council,

My kind sir, do you have any evidence?

The rat looks at them, his tone harshens,

You don't want to believe me, thats on you,

But just cause I'm not the size of a wallaroo,

Does not mean you have to right to shut me down,

The judges sighs and frowns,

It's a law for everyone, no matter your height,

No matter how heavy or how light,

So get your act together sir,

It would be the same if you were a tapir.
