Five more minutes. Five more minutes until freedom. Five more minutes until the best vacation ever. A one week camping fiesta with me and my mates, followed by three weeks with my girl on vacation to my parents place in Cape Town, a lovely beach side house with a view of the ocean.Damn I'm so pumped up. How many parents are willing to let you go on a trip with your girlfriend to the Cape? I guess divorce has its perks

This holiday will be my greatest yet, if only the clock would reach 13:45. Those annoying teachers I had in grade 7 always used to tell me that the last day in class is always the longest. I guess that statement remains true even when you're in form 4 (grade 11) This has been a bloody rough term, I can't wait till it ends. I can smell the excitement in the air. Winter break is here and it's gonna be amazing. I've been looking forward to this since the semester began. I can't hide my excitement any longer. My legs start shaking with excitement. My heart is throbbing in anticipation. Tick tock tick tock. Damn it almost there, I stare at the clock willing it to move faster. I scream out a giant "woo" which gets echoed by everyone in class until the teachers tells us to put a sock in it.

Four more minutes, I scan the class again looking at all the expressions of joy. In the front corner it's Reneil aka Hacker king (HK for short), tapping his thumb against the table, a small smile creeping to his lips. One of the weirdest sights I've seen all year considering he usually has a blank expression. Seated behind him is Tatiana aka Taro, She's a brunette who's a little on the skinny side,she is shy and a little awkward but not all that bad, She's actually pretty funny once you get to know her. If you were to ask me what her best quality is I would probably respond that her best quality is that she, along with Jess,Claire and Callista, are friends with my girl. They are all pretty cool I guess, sure they aren't as great as my girl but few people are.
Jess is a the typical model looking brunette student seated beside Taro, she likes writing too, one of the things we have in common although she prefers a much darker storyline. Claire is The typical High school hottie with blonde hair and a curvy body seated behind Jess and then there's Callista who seems to be your typical brunette next to Claire although few people know of her secret obsession with anime and gaming. She's a rather cool girl. Come to think of it I remember I had a crush on Callista and Claire way before Serena and I met. I'm glad that didn't stop them all from becoming friends.

Three more minutes. Almost there damn I can't wait any longer. I start tapping my feet and singing to myself. "Gotta relax and renew,you go do. I want fabulous that is my simple request. I want fabulous, bigger than better and best, I need something inspiring to help me get along, I need a little fabulous is that so wrong...",I catch myself singing that song and immediately stop myself. Damn Disney movies and they're catchy lyrics. Gonna make people think I'm a weirdo.

My eyes continue to scan the room,watching faces until I'm over it. I look to the chair next to me and my heart does a back flip, my stomach fills with butterflies and my cheeks warm up at the sight of her. Serena Robbie, The only girl I will ever have eyes for.

I stare at her in all her beauty, Her sea blue eyes, her award winning smile, her short dirty blonde hair with slight blue highlights that looks absolutely amazing on her, her stunning body. I don't know why a girl like that would ever wanna be with a guy like me, but she is and that is all that matters.

"Hunter,"she said Hunter..." I stare at her a bit longer before I respond,"Sorry baby, I can't help it, I guess I still get lost in your beauty after all this time."

Was that cheesy? Yes, can I help it? No. I guess she brings it out of me.

"You're such a cutie you know know, no wonder you stole my heart, I could listen to you all day but it's nearly time for you to go, so on a serious note...I'm gonna miss you on your trip,"she whispered

Damn I nearly forgot she's not coming with me.

"I'll miss you more, no matter how much fun I have, it won't be the same without you. I love you baby, " I said.

My eyes flicker to the clock. Eight more seconds. Before Serena could respond to my cheesy love lines, Mrs Cloud silences us and tells us all to Stand behind our desks in silence. Five seconds. Four seconds. Three seconds. Two seconds. One second, I hear the familiar ring of the bell one last time. I look at Serena, she kisses me and tells me how much she loves me and I tell her how much I love her as I rush to the parking lot to meet my friends.

We all met outside at the big tree. A summer to remember with a few good friends; Drunken(Duncan) is the typical blonde scrawny kid with abs,he's a good guy,a little emotional but still a chilled guy. Biclopse(Hugh) is the chubby group alcoholic of our little wolf pack, I've never heard someone talk about himself so much and it's worse when he's drunk. Malfoy(Trafford) is the look alike of Draco in harry potter and last of all is walking death (Tyron) he's the group daredevil.

We all sat under the tree, waiting impatiently for Malfoy's mom to pick us up. This is it, a week with my boys, hiking, sleeping beneath the stars, beer, fun and relaxation. I catch myself midlaugh as I look at my little group and tell them how this little trip sounds like the plot to some cheesy horror movie. They all laugh along with me and each add they're own comments to my statement. Hugh says that only one of us will return, Drunks tells us all to knock it off and get our bags in the car and get ready for some fun just as Malfoy's mom arrived.

"Alright Gents are you ready for project awesome?"Hugh asked.

"Damn straight,"I stated

"Alright boys, phones in the bag,"I yelled,"Project awesome is a go!"

We piled our bags in the spacious boot and as the wheels began turning, I looked back at the school, saying my holiday farewells, remembering every memory we made this term before finally looking forward at what our four week break had to offer.

This is what it's all about, this break is gonna be great. As the car moves we drive off, before we leave I notice a green VW beetle. Damn that's a sexy ride, I want that car, Serena would so love that. I couldn't admire the car for long and before I knew it we were on the open road,racing to the woods.
