"What?!"
"There was a mix up and my dealer messed up the dates. We can't go back to our old house because we sold it already, so we're living with you."
I took a couple minutes to take in the words. The dream summer we saved up for, for two years was going to be shared with two guys that didn't have the same plans.
"LYAH! Are you okay with this!" I asked, in more of a hiss than a normal question. She faced me with an incredibly dreamy look on her face and smiled, glancing at the blonde.
"Yeah."
I groan, tilting my head back. It's okay. This would be just like roommates except in a bigger house. Once I think of it that way, I'm calmed, looking at the big bags they had with them.
"Rules:" I start. "You can't disturb us in any way. No throwing incredibly noisy parties. And you guys get the downstairs bedroom."
Dark Blue eyes nods and adds a few of his own rules, counting them on his fingers.
"You guys won't disturb us, no hogging the TV, no complaints when girls are over."
I make a disgusted face at the last one, causing him to smirk. Pulling my hand out to shake his, I could see his full height. His lips about touched my forehead.
"Jacey."
"Reed."
Lyah noticed the gesture and followed it with whoever she was hesitating, and so was the other guy.
"Lyah." She finally peeped out.
"Caden."
Their handshake lingered for a little too long before I had to force them away, pulling Lyah to our rooms. She still had that sickly dreamy expression with a slight smile that almost made me want to slap her.
"What was that?"
"What was what?" Her smile gone, her attention focused on me.
"The look, Lyah." I whisper so they won't hear. "Do you like him?"
"It was just an appearance thing." She looked down, embarrassed. Probably about how obvious she was being, but then again, Caden was being obvious too.
"Well then get to know him." I say. Her head tips up just to examine my face for any sign of teasing.
"You think I should?"
"Go for it. By the way he was looking at you, he felt the same way."
She smiles brightly and practically hops to the kitchen, grabbing a bag of chips and dip. We jump on the couch turning on one of her favorite shows.
We could hear footsteps climbing up the stairs before a voice that I think is Caden's sounded.
"Oh shit, move over I love that show."
"It's Lyah's favorite." I say, trying to help my friend.
"Even better." He shines a smile at her.
He takes a seat next to her on the couch, pretty much reaching over with all he can trying to get some chips. Eventually I just hand it over and grab a coke from the fridge, leaving the two lovebirds talking on the couch.
"What's that?" Reed asks, suddenly behind me.
"Coca Cola, want some?"
He laughs, mockingly. He realizes I was serious and raises his eyebrows questioningly. He grabs the door of the fridge forcing it open to look for something.
"No beer?"
"Nope." I shake my head. He smiles and heads down stairs.
"It's your lucky day."
He throws me a beer when he races back up the stairs. Thanks to my dad, I know how to open one without a bottle opener. It obviously impresses him, who was already halfway through with his drink.
"Are you gonna drink it, or are you just going to stare at it." He says, teasing me.
After one last look at him, I take a sip. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. I drink the whole bottle before asking for a new one, feeling a little tipsy.
"Slow down, lightweight."
I don't know what lightweight means, and I don't care. I just want another beer, a big one.
Finally, I get it and pop it open again, downing it. I feel a little different, happier. Isn't this what lsd is supposed to do? Oh my god, what if he spiked my drink. Wait no, I'm the one that opened it so he couldn't have. Unless, they were pre spiked beers. Are those even a thing?
All those thoughts happened in my head while I grabbed a third beer. I was already full by the time I finished that one.
"Woah, Jacey, slow down." I heard who I think was Reed. I never found out because after another two beers I was really tired and consciously fell. Right into the the strong arms of whoever that voice belonged to.
He lifted me up, taking me away from my drinks. I felt so light and happy, but I couldn't think straight. Every thought that I had would stay for a second and then change into something completely different.
"You're strong." I speak my thoughts.
"You're pretty light." His voice answers.
I laugh at his hilarious joke. He looks down for a moment and smiles, which make me notice his beautiful eyes.
"You have nice eyes, what kind of mascara do you use?"
"I go all natural." He says with a laugh.
Then I get dropped onto a white cloud, a very comfortable one. I bury my head in the fluffs and drift off to sleep.

Sorry for how short the chapters are. I'll probably be updating a lot but no promises. :)
