"Jacey."

"Jacey."

"Jacey!"

"What!?"

I remove my pillow from my face and look at my harasser in the face. Lyah was dressed up in her short sundress that she was so excited to wear before we even came here. If she was going to wear it, she was going to show it off, not just stay in the house.

"We're all going to the beach, wake up." She smiles, then puts on a white sun hat.

"Why?" I whine. "Why today?"

"It's really sunny outside!" she takes a seat next to me in bed, her blue eyes were sparkling like the sun blazing through the blinds. If I try to go back to sleep, the stupid sunshine wouldn't let me. "And...we should do something else than watch TV inside all day."

"Ugh." I roll my eyes. "You sound like my mom."

"Your mom is a very sweet and nice lady." she smiles sweetly, then pats the blanket before pulling it off my body. If that wasn't bad enough, she opens the blinds fully, blinding me with the shining light. She walks out the door with the blanket so I have no choice but to get dressed and walk out the door.

I have a great taste in friends.

"We've got no place to go!!" We sang in the car. "Caught up in the RODEO, OH NO please GOD tell me we're DREAMIN."

"Will you guys shut up." Reed ruins the fun. Since he's driving, he shuts off the music that we were singing to, causing chorus of whines go through out the car. I scowl at him from the backseat only making him smirk, his sunglasses covered his eyes.

"Remind me why we let you drive again?" I ask.

"Because you and Lyah don't know your way to the beach, and if Caden drives we're all crashing into a palm tree."

"I'm not that bad!"

"Says the guy that hit a pedestrian while going 7 miles per hour."

"He practically just dove under my car." Caden defends.

"Says the guy that also hit a biker on the same week."

"Would you rather me run over a duck family? Huh? I'm not a homewrecker, Reed. The ducks were just peacefully walking across the street."

"Caden, the guy on the bike was a wildlife rehabilitator. Since you ran him over, he couldn't help injured lions."

"Natural Selection." Caden shrugged.

I looked out the window and gasped at the amazing view. The beach had sparkling sand with crystal clear blue water. Thankfully, since it was a Monday, not many people were on the beach. Just a few teenagers playing volleyball that Lyah and I decided to join later.

"Would you just turn on the music, we're almost there anyways." Lyah pleaded. I saw read roll his eyes but turn on the music, back to the song we were singing earlier. Before we could enjoy it, the bastard switched the radio stations to some rap song.

"ALL I DO IS WIN WIN WIN NO MATTER WHAT."

The car shook with vibrations as Caden and Reed were jumping up and down in the front, dancing and singing off pitch to the music. Reed was smiling his rare genuine smile showing his white teeth.

"GOT MONEY ON MY MIND I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH."

We decide to just sing along because, obviously, we weren't going to be heard from how loud the music was blaring.
