"Allison!" I yell as loud as possible as I run to the lacrosse field, scanning the stands for her. My heart races in my chest faster when I don't see her; only finding a bunch of people scattered as if they were leaving. That was when I looked out and saw that the game was over.
I run my fingers through my hair as I think of what to do, feeling completely alone. I needed to go get Allison and tell her what was happening, but how was I supposed to get to her house? It's not like I can drive or anything like that.
Wait.
Maybe I can drive. If I can use my trigger long enough I just might be able to...
I look over to the parking lot and start to run towards it, looking for a decent car that someone might not mind being demolished. None of the cars seem fitting before I stop and look closer towards the school, finding a blue jeep that was the crappiest thing I've ever seen. That should work.
The wind whips against my face as I begin to run over to it, but I soon stop short. I hear another sniffle as I turn around, seeing that Lydia Martin was still in her car crying. Normally I would feel bad, but her still being here only made me glad. She could hear me; meaning that she could either help Stiles or go get other help.
I turn and run towards her car, seeing that her window was still rolled down from when Stiles was talking to her. Mascara was still streaming down her cheeks as she held a tissue, wiping some of the make up off every now and again. I still wondered why she was crying in the first place.
"Lydia," I say quickly, causing her to look around furiously. I hold my breath as I wait for her to answer, watching her as her sad expression turned into confusion.
"Hello?" she calls out, not saying it very loudly.
I bite my lower lip. "Lydia, you need to listen to me or else someone might die."
"Who is that!" she screams this time, causing a group of teenagers to look over towards her like she was mental. I felt bad for her. "Leave me alone!"
"I'm trying to help," I say, knowing that I was losing her attention fast. "You need to go find Allison and tell her to come to the school. Tell her that her friend said it's an emergency."
Lydia sobs as she grabs her head. "I'm going insane. I really am going crazy."
"You're not crazy Lydia," I say, leaning up against the car. "I need you to do that for me please. I'll leave you alone after you do this one thing."
Lydia perks up slightly. "Just this one thing and then you'll stop talking to me?"
I nod my head even though she can't see. "I promise."
Lydia nods slightly as she wipes her tears away. "Okay. I'll go tell her."
I nod my head. "Hurry please."
She nods once again as she rolls her window up, starting her car and beginning to pull out of the parking lot. I quickly slide into the passenger seat without her knowing and ride alone beside her, wanting to go with her to get Allison.
You might be asking why I'm making Lydia say something to Allison, which is because I need someone to get Allison away from her parents for a good reason. After all, why would they believe a dead guy?
Lydia sniffles a little as she speeds off down the road, the car deathly silent. The more I thought about it, the more I felt bad for Lydia. If she could hear me, I wonder who else she could hear that was dead. I would literally go out of my mind if I had to hear all of those voices.
"Almost there," Lydia says to herself, her voice at a whisper. I could tell that she was ecstatic knowing that after doing this one little thing that she would be free of the voices; which may or may not be true. I'll hold up my end of the bargain, but I don't know about any of the other voices.
