Taemoor went outside to answer the call, and Yashal came smiling into the closet. She had to change. It was very cold in Swat, but it was also a lot of fun. Everyone loved them. They got to learn a lot from them. Now, it's only a week.
She was feeling sad just thinking about leaving Swat, but she was also happy somewhere. She missed her family. Bubbly was also starting to get sick. Bubbly needed her. Without Yashal, bubbly couldn't even eat or drink properly.
She was just thinking about this when she got a call. She closed the closet and came towards the bed, holding the clothes she needed to change into. When she looked at the mobile phone lying on the bed, her eyes widened a little and her heartbeat quickened upon seeing the name.
Hannah
Her gaze automatically went towards the door from which Taemoor had just emerged. Then she let out a long breath that had been holding in for who knows how long and said
“ Hello Hannah”
Eyes once again turned to the door, when the voice broke the silence.
“I bothered you a lot and took up your time.” A pause. “I thought you would help me. You were my only person in the world, but you did nothing for me.” A sigh. The person on the call paused.
“I have made a decision that you will surely be happy to hear.” Yashal gulped what could be her decision.
“I won't see him anymore because I'm sure he doesn't want to see me either. What's the point of having a relationship with someone who doesn't want you?”
Yashal remained silent throughout this whole conversation because the words seemed to have been snatched away. She didn't realize when the tears fell from her eyes, she didn't realize when the clothes fell from her hands. When Hannah spoke again, this time there was a little less pain in her voice.
“...I have sent you your book…. I have taken all your instructions into consideration and much more. Take care of yourself. The journey of life with you has been short, but beautiful.” A long pause
“One last thing, take care of him and never let him miss me in his life. I did nothing for him. One day, I will die with this sadness. But it won't be so sad that he will be left with someone he trusts. Like you”
The call ended and her eyes were still watering. The phone was still on her ear, and for a moment, the world had stopped. Suddenly, she was startled by the sudden opening of the window and started looking towards the door. Her eyes were red. She placed the mobile on the table, and she slowly came out.
Taemoor was still on the call. Feeling her footsteps, he turned and saw her standing in front. Her eyes were red.
Taemoor felt as if he had lost her.
Has she heard everything? He thought. If she had, was she so shocked that she cried? Did she cry because I was a murderer or did she cry because I hid the truth from her?
He came forward, taking very small steps as if he were afraid that she might tell him to stop, and if she did, would he? Was he afraid of her? If he was afraid, why did he hide it? He should have told her. Now how will she react? Will she slap him, call him a murderer, or will she say that she hates being called the murderer's wife and should end the relationship? Oh no! He swallowed. Even a few steps were not enough to cover the miles. For him, at that moment. No, he wouldn't let her go now, no matter what happened. Now, the one thing he didn't want to lose was the one he had; he felt like he hated himself and now he was right in front of her. Yashal looked at him with the same eyes. Taemoor's chest was moving up and down heavily.
