"Fauna" A faint but familiar voice calls for me "She's awake"

I blink twice, trying to get used to the white lights above me, Dylan's blue eyes observe me atently , checking if I'm awake "Hi?" I mumble, trying to get his attention without a lot of effort.

"You're awake?" He gets out of his chair and sprints out the door "Doctor she's awake!"

Almost immediatly after I hear some footsteps and a fairy comes in, she has a sympatetic look on her face, and grabs my hand as she sits down "Hey dear"

"What happened?" I ask.

"You had a voltage drop, it usually happens when you do lots of exercise and no eating" She tilts her head, as if what she said is familiar to me "I looked at your medical files, and since you've been here you lost some weight"

"I didn't realize"

"We'll open an exception and you'll be in the dorms with Dylan, we agreed that it's best if you have a friend to protect you since" She pauses for a second, trying to gather her words "Since the new rules were announced"

I take a few seconds to process what she said. Of course I'm moving to the dorms, I don't even want to know what Dylan's reaction was to knowing I had been laying awake all night with broken windows and forniture.

"I'll leave you two be" She says before walking away.

For a second me and Dylan eye eachother, unsure where to start.

"Are you fucking kidding me" He's starting then.

"Dylan--"

"I don't wanna hear it"

"But-"

"Why did you not tell me? Why would you hide that something so serious had gone on! I had to see the shit show you were living in with my own eyes! Why couldn't you tell me?" His worry and anger make me sure of his pure intentions, he wouldn't even be here if he didn't care about me, that at least tells me I have found a rare thing in here. A friend.

"I didn't want you to worry" I lie. I don't know what good it'll do to him knowing I didn't tell him because I didn't trust him yet.

"Yeah and look where that got you! I feel like the worst best friend ever! I thought you were nervous and taken back from my perfect fighting skills" He shakes his head "You should've told me"

"I'm sorry, but look, now we'll live together, you don't have to worry anymore"

"Oh trust me you won't ,I'm happy we'll live together. What I'm stressed about is that they're already refurnituring my room, I hope they don't take my mirrors, I need to make sure I look the best all the time"

"You do" I smile at him reassuringly.

"Don't smile at me yet lady" He points at me accusingly, and I lift my hands up in surrender "I'm not done scolding you yet"

"I'm sure you're not" I smile at him and he squints at me.

After resting the whole day I was allowed to go to the dorms, where I'll stay the next few years, which means my friendship with Dylan will oficially last, at least I hope so.

As I walk towards the dorms, I can't help but notice how much better the infrastructure is compared to the little cabin I had, you could tell they didn't really care how I lived, or at least they expected me to die on the first week.

What I do know is that now it'll be more difficult for them to kill me since I have a new bodyguard, a bodyguard who is currently struggling with all the boxes he has to carry to his dorm "How much longer?" I ask, eyeing the numbers on the dorm rooms.

"We're 33" He says before coming to a sudden stop "Which is right here"

I open the door with the keys he had in his pocket since he's carrying all my belongings.

When I open the door, I'm met with a flowerly mint smell, one that'll be hard to get used to "How many flowers do you have in here?" I asked.

"None, my place has to always be on point in every aspect" He places the boxes in what I assume will be my bed "They actually did a half decent good job"

When I look at his side of the room the first thing I notice is the three mirrors infront of his bed, one on the corner of the room, another stick to the wall, and another next to the door, not counting the one I assume is in the bathroom.

"I like this room" I comment.

"Come on Kyro, don't be a pussy!" I hear from a distance

Dylan closes his eyes, familiar with the sound "Oh, and you'll have to get used to the random splashes of sound, not a fan either"

"Don't tell me our dorm is--"

"Right next to the third years? Yeah"

I sit on the edge of the bed, laying the bag with my clothes in it "Great"

"It's not as bad as it could've been if we were next to the first years, or at least I think so"

He's right, especially since I know I'm a target, it's best if our dorm is next to the third years, who have no reason to have anything against me, which means I can finally feel safe after a week of barely having any sleep and constantly being alert.

Dylan goes to the bathroom, and I hear the faint sound of the shower starting, after cleaning out the clothes and laying my things, I lay on the bed and fall into a deep sleep.
