I woke up the next morning and got into the shower, I woke up at 5;45am even though I still have an hour until Day picks me up. I walked into my room, and grabbed a pair of jeans and a plain silver top. I put on a pair of purple converse and sat down on my bed. I heard someone come downstairs and I stood up and grabbed my backpack and opened my door to see my dad standing there. He was bright red, "What do you think you're doing?!" He asked crossing his arms. I managed to shove past him and go upstairs to the kitchen. My father put his hand on my shoulder, "answer me Ocean. " he said as I looked and realized that Skyler was in the kitchen drinking coffee. "It's Friday dad. I have school." I mumbled grabbing a bottle of water and a granola bar. I was starving, my dad didn't let me eat dinner and I was getting really dizzy. My dad let go of my shoulder and sat down beside Skyler. I just shook my head and walked out onto the porch, eating my granola bar and waiting for Day.

As soon as Day got there I just stood and started walking with him, "How's your morning going?" He asked as he readjusted his backpack. I just shrugged and walked into the school. When we got to our lockers Day out his hand on my shoulder, "You ok?" He asked as I looked at him. "Yeah..I'm fine." I mumbled as we pulled out our science books and binders. We were about 10 feet from the door when I was pushed into a wall, I looked up to see Darrel standing there, and he looked ticked. I was kneed in the stomach and I fell to the ground. I tried getting up but he kicked me in the ribs, making me flinch.

All of a sudden Day, pulled Darrel off of me and shoved him away, "Leave her alone!" He said shoving him back. I slowly got up and leaned against the wall, "please Day. Let's just get to class." I said as he released Darrel and walked after me into the classroom. I sat down at my desk just as the bell rang. Darrel came stumbling into the classroom and sat down at his seat. Ugh why did he have to sit beside me. I felt him staring at me but I just ignored him and pulled out my book and started to read, drowning myself in the world of my book rather than listening to today's lesson.
