Chapter 31

I sat there the next morning looking at myself in the mirror, I had on a black Tshirt with white all over the front in a paint splatter design, gray dark skinny jeans, gray high tops with purple paint splatter design, (again my own design) and my hair was in a high pony tail. I grabbed my black leather jacket, slipped it on then ran upstairs grabbed my backpack a bottled water and a granola bar then walked outside and waited for Day.

Day showed up 5 minutes later and when I stood up off the front steps his eyes went wide, "Ocean?" He asked acting super surprised as we started walking to school. I took a deep breath, "Yes Day, it's me, with jet black hair." I said pulling on my black beanie. Day started walking faster and slipped his hand in mine, "Why are you wearing a beanie babe? It's 95° outside." Day said as we reached school premises. I just smiled, "I like it and according to Darrel I need to change so I did." I said as we stepped inside the school. Day just stayed silent as we walked to the office where I'll be spending the next 2 weeks, "I love you baby." Day said kissing me, not even caring we were blocking peoples say into the office. "ahem." Said a voice behind us, "AHEM." They said again, so Day broke our kiss and turned around to see Darrel sanding there, "I've gotta get to class. Be nice babe." Day said quickly giving me a kiss on the cheek and running off towards his locker. I looked down to see he left his bookbag at my feet but he didn't notice.

Darrel came over to me and stood there glaring me. Not even 5 seconds later the bell rang and he has me shoved up against the wall, "I can tell your an idiot for believe me that you needed to change." He said inches from my face. Then everything else that happened was a big blur. Darrel shoved me all the way up against the wall and pressed his lips against mine. I tried pulling away but he had his hands firmly on my face refusing to let go. Darrel pulled away, "You dare tell anyone about that and you'll be in hell." He said walking off without another word. I was in so much shock that I just now noticed Day only a couple feet from me, I opened my mouth to say something but he reached for his backpack and started to walk off when I ran after him, "Day it's not what you think I-." That's all I could say because Day cut me off and jerked himself around so he was facing me, "That's a fucking dumb excuse." He said readjusting his backpack on his shoulder, "We're done Ocean, don't expect us to be friends either, I never want to talk to you again." He said walking off without another word.

I stood there as the empty hallway felt like the walls were closing in around me. I heard someone behind me and I turned to see Mr. Lansing standing there, "Come on Ocean." He said pointing to an empty desk in his office. I looked beside it to see Willow, Rain, and Mist sitting in the other 3 desks the all looked at me, "Defacing school property." Willow said without hesitation. I didn't care about that, "I uhh I left my books in my locker, can I go get them?" I asked Mr Lansing. He nodded his head and I ran out of his office. I went to the front door and ran outside letting the alarm sound.

It's been an hour since I left school and there was a knock at my bedroom door leading to the outside. I opened it and there stood Day, "Tell me why you kissed him and I might forgive you." He said crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame. I looked down, "He kissed me, I tried getting away." I said letting tears start to pour out of my eyes, "He forced me to Day." I said curling into a ball crying on the floor. I heard Day sigh, "please don't cry darling." Day said sitting down beside me and pulling me onto his lap letting me cry into his chest. I looked up at him, as he cupped to face in bus hands. "but it caused us to brake up." I said letting a single tear fall down my face. Day wiped the tear away with his thumb, "I know that now, I acted like an ass, I'm sorry Ocean." He said kissing me. I pulled away when I heard someone coming down the stairs. I jumped to my feet followed by Day, "Hide in my closet." I whispered as Day followed me. He did as I told him to and just as the closet door clicked shut my bedroom door flew open and my dad came in, "You're a fucking dead women!!!" He yelled tackling me to the ground. My dad started choking me as he yelled out a string of curse words, "YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!! WE DONT WANT YOU HERE ANYMORE!!!!!!!" He yelled taking a broken beer bottle he threw on the floor he threw it at me making a giant gash on my arm and he cut open the cut Day gave me, the. He just got up and left.

Day barged out of my closet in full panic mode, "I'm driving you to the hospital he said picking me up bridal style and running outside, "Day I can't stay awake." I said as my vision started to go black. I felt Day sit me down in his car then the was in the car and driving, "Don't go to sleep babe we're almost at the hospital don't go to sleep." He said as I leaned my head against my door. I couldn't head anything else he was saying because about 10 seconds later I blacked out.
