Just then, there was a resounding bang.
What was with all of the loud noise today, anyways..?
All of us rushed to my Uncle Trent's room, hoping that everything was okay.
Nothing would ever be okay from that day forward, though.

The pack doctor looked grim.
"He hasn't been taking his medication, and he overdosed on the oxycodone that I prescribed for his pain. He is lucky to be alive at all---however, he is very weak, at this point. It was a close call. If he hadn't fallen out of bed and you all hadn't rushed to help him he wouldn't be here," he stated (too calmly for my taste).
