Isabelle's P.O.V.:

I was soon greeted by a tall man who looked familiar.  He had copper hair, naturally tanned skin and bright blue eyes.

"Do I know you," I wondered out loud.

Alex's P.O.V.:

This was bad, very bad.  She couldn't remember who I, her mate was.  Since Chris, Chase and I were carbon copies  of one another, they wouldn't be much help.

There was nothing I could do at the moment.  Deciding to tell her that she was my mate, I did.

She took it better than I thought she would.

"Shall we go dine now, love," I gently asked.

Blushing, she nodded, and she placed her hand in the crook of my arm.  After taking the marble staircase down to the first floor, we came to the dining room.

My two brothers Chris and Chase were already there, sitting.  They stood as soon as we entered the dining room.  Pulling out a chair for her, I pushed it in.

"Is it just us," she asked Chase hesitantly.

"Yes," he said.  He was staring at her as if she would disapear if she blinked.

"Is there something wrong with my make-up," she quietly asked, turning to Chris.

"No, my lovely dove.  We are just happy that you are here."  She raised her eyebrows, but said nothing.

Once we were all seated, the kitchen maids immediately began bringing in dishes.

The maids came in one after the other, carrying solid gold platters and trays all uncovered and steaming or chilled, depending on the item.

There was chickens in ale broth, beef stew, fresh deep sea oysters, pumpkin soup, shellfish bisque, pureed chestnut soup with truffles I served Isabelle some of each.  She had lost far too much weight while she was in a coma.

Once we had finished, the maids cleaned up, while others brought more dishes in.  There was grilled swordfish, saltwater fish, bream and eel pasties, carpon pasties and crisps, orange salad, smoked tongue, olives and broth with bacon.

I turned to start serving Isabelle, noticing that she was looking unwell.

"Are you well, Isa," I asked.

She looked up at we with glazed eyes, startled.  Her face was slightly sweaty and incredibly pale.

She nodded, then slapped her hand over her mouth.  I quickly took the nearest dish, which was the one full of broth with bacon.  I just had time to place it in front of her, before she started to throw up.

Chris held her hair, while I soothingly rubbed her back.  Chase looked on, worried.

When she was done, we decided that we should just stick with plain crackers, chicken broth and ginger tea with lemon and honey, for the rest of the day.

After the maids had cleaned the table, we ordered for the broth, tea and crackers to be brought in.  Once she had eaten the lighter food, we decided to take her back to her room.

It had been far too long.
