Not a week later, the Moon Goddess took my Uncle.

I didn't know what to do with myself. I cried for 24 hours straight, and then I went into what my mates referred to as my 'zombie-mode'.

I stopped taking care of myself. I stopped eating, I drank just enough to sustain me and I walked around in a trance-like state.

I was lost without the only parental figure that I had ever known.

I started to push everyone away, whether it was my best friend or my mates.

After a week of this, everyone had had enough. On top of all of this, my mates were starting to slowly feel the same effects that I was though our mate-bond.

Lexi, the best bestie ever that she was, and my sister form a different mister, called for an intervention.

Lexi's P.O.V.:

I was beyond worried for my best friend. Her health was rapidly deteriorating, her hygiene was put on a back-burner, and she was even messing up her mate's health!

After a week of her self-destructive behavior, I had had enough.

I decided to stage an intervention.

The intervention consisted of the head pack doctor, her three mates, my mate, her Beta, and, of course, me.

We found her resting on the raw earth of the still fresh grave of her beloved Uncle Trent.

Seeing her caked in the wet earth from the grave-site, with greasy, lanky hair, a tear-stained visage and a black, torn dress that she had donned for the past week brought tears to my eyes.

I had to stay strong for Isabelle, though. We all did.

She looked up at us through bleary, reddened eyes, and croaked out in a barely discernable voice, "What will I do with myself, now?" With that, she crumpled into a sobbing heap, as she clawed at the earth, in hysterics.

I did the only thing I could think to do as the others stood there slack-jawed; I slapped her.
