In a dimly lit, private room tucked deep within an exclusive club, Hoseok's father, Mr. Jung Seongmin, sat across from a strange figure-a man whose cold eyes glinted under the soft chandelier light. The air between them was heavy, thick with unspoken tension. The walls of the room were lined with bookshelves, ancient leather-bound tomes juxtaposed with modern art pieces that seemed to do little to lighten the atmosphere.Seongmin clasped his hands in front of him, a calm expression on his face, though his heart raced as he prepared to reveal the plan that had been in the works for years. His gaze flickered briefly to the man across from him, who was unusually still, as though waiting for the final act of a carefully orchestrated play.
"You know what this is about, don't you?" Seongmin's voice was low, deliberate.
The stranger's lips curled into a faint smile, one that didn't reach his eyes. He leaned back in his chair, eyes never leaving Seongmin's. "I'm aware," he replied, his voice smooth and calculating. "The plan has already begun to unfold."
Seongmin exhaled slowly, his fingers tapping lightly on the surface of the table. "Everything is in place, just as we agreed upon. Hoseok is in position, and Yoongi... Yoongi will make the perfect pawn."
The stranger nodded, his fingers drumming lightly on his own glass of whiskey. "Yes, I believe Yoongi is the final piece you've been looking for. A powerful, yet vulnerable, man-ideal for the next phase of your plan."
Seongmin smirked, leaning in slightly. "I married my son to Min Yoongi for one reason and one reason only: To control him. To control the company he will inherit, the resources, and the connections. Hoseok is not just my son; he's a weapon, a tool. And through Yoongi, I'll have access to everything I need to solidify my power."
The stranger's expression darkened, his voice growing more ominous. "You're playing a dangerous game, Seongmin. Min Yoongi isn't just anyone. If you push him too far, it could all fall apart."
"I know the risks," Seongmin snapped, his usual composure faltering for a moment. "But I have been patient for years. Yoongi's loyalty to Hoseok will be his downfall. He will do anything for him. I can control Yoongi by exploiting that weakness."
The stranger chuckled softly, almost as if he found the idea amusing. "And what of Hoseok? You do realize that your son is not as simple to manipulate as you think. He may not fall into line as you expect."
Seongmin's eyes narrowed, a glint of something dark flashing within them. "Hoseok will do what he is told. He always does. And if he doesn't... well, I have a way of ensuring obedience."
The stranger's expression remained impassive, but there was a cold calculation in his gaze. "So, you intend to control Yoongi through Hoseok, but what about the emotional connections? You can't predict how people will react when their hearts are involved."
Seongmin's lips curled into a sinister smile. "That's the beauty of this plan. The emotional connections will be manipulated as well. Hoseok will believe that he is the one in control. He will believe that he is saving Yoongi, protecting him. But in reality, he will be playing right into my hands."
The stranger leaned forward, his sharp eyes focusing on Seongmin with renewed interest. "You've thought of everything, haven't you?"
Seongmin's smile widened, a dark satisfaction radiating from him. "Of course. This is not just a marriage. This is the culmination of everything I've worked for. Hoseok's marriage to Yoongi is the final step in my ascent. Once I have control of their lives, I'll have control of everything."
The stranger stood up, the soft creak of the chair echoing in the otherwise silent room. "Just remember, Seongmin, you're not the only one with a plan. I'm watching this closely. If you misstep, it won't just be Yoongi who's caught in the web."
Seongmin didn't flinch. He stood, too, his tall figure casting a long shadow in the dim room. "I don't misstep," he said, his voice laced with confidence. "I've already won."
The stranger gave a final nod, his lips curving into a cold smile. "We'll see."
As Seongmin watched him leave, a feeling of unease settled in his chest. He'd made countless sacrifices, and now the plan was almost complete. But something about the way the stranger had spoken made him question whether he had underestimated some of the players involved in this high-stakes game.
But that thought was fleeting. His mind was already on the next phase. Hoseok and Yoongi were only pawns in a much bigger game, and Seongmin was determined to control it all-no matter the cost.
