SANTA

'Ouch!' shouts Pond.
'Hey, what happened to you?' asks Perth.
'Have you seen how many mosquitoes are here? At the camp side, we could use some methods to keep the mosquitoes away, how will I prevent them here?' says Pond.
'Hey kid, why are you worrying? I have a spray with me. It will keep all the insects away, trust me.' says Mr.Rit as he comes towards us.
'Here you go. Just remember to not go out into the forest after midnight. No matter what reason, you must not go.This place is quite haunted,you know? Anyway I was just here to warn you all.' he continues as he leaves.
'Ohhhhh! Mr. Rit's words for enough to send chills down my spine.' says Dunk.
'Oh come on, nothing like that is probably true. It must be the stories made by the local people living here.' Perth says.
'Yeah, By the way I have heard that right in the middle of this forest, is a statue of a local deity. People here say that if you worship him at 12:30 at night and give him fruits, he will make sure you and your loved ones have an amazing life ahead.' says Pond.
'That's what I read too in the reviews online about this place. They say that the statue was not made by anyone,it appeared from the ground and that it still has the soul of the god in it.' says Book.
'Well then, should we try it out tonight?' says Pond.
'Mr.Rit told us to not go outside. If you all want to do it,you can. Just don't involve me.' says Perth.
'Oh come on! What's the fun in sleeping?' says Dunk.
'I don't know, I won't do it.' replies Perth.
Mr. Rit told us to not there.
But I want to.
Neither Perth, Dunk,Pond or Book are going to the forest to worship him. But I want to.
So what's the harm?

Later at 12:20 p.m when I have make sure everybody is asleep, I pick up my torch and the fruits to go out.
I enter the forest and start moving around trying to find the statue.
I can't see it anywhere.
That's when my torch stops working.
'What happened to this? I put the cells in it like an hour ago. Why is this not working?!' I say.
Will I really have to move without it?
I guess I have to.
It's so dark here.
'Ouch!' I shout as my foot gets stuck in something making me fall.
I look down at my watch.
12:30 a.m.
Oh my god, is some ghost doing it?
Was Mr.Rit actually right about what he said?
That's when I feel a hand behind me.

PERTH

'Ahhhh!' shouts Santa as he sees me behind him.
'What the heck are you doing here?' He says to me.
'I came to find you, what are you doing here?' I ask him knowing what he would answer.
'Uhhh, I am here because I want to worship the statue but I can't see it anywhere.' says Santa.
'That is because the story is not true at all. Let's go back.' I say to him as I help him get up.
When we look back, it's there.
The statue is there, behind us.
'Thr statue!' says Santa as he picks up the fruits from the ground which fell from him.
'Come on Perth! Worship him with me!' Santa continues as he hands me some fruits also.
I join my hands and worship him.
We offer the fruits to the deity hoping to get good lives ahead.

AOU

'How us he now? Is his fever fine?' View asks me over the phone.
Aou : Yes, doctors have given him medicine. However he refuses to eat anything.
View : Don't worry, me and Film are on the way. Let's see if he eats from us or not. How is Boom's mother? Is she fine?
Aou : She was crying non stop for the next 2 hours. Eventually she slept at 2-3 a.m.
View : I hope they get well. Any medicines to bring for them?
Aou : No,it's alright. Just be here, bye.
View : Hmm. Bye.

'Boom, you have to eat your next pill, but you can't till you eat something.' I say to him.
'I don't want to eat anything.' Boom replies.
I place my hand on his as I say 'See, I understand that your father died but not eating anything is harming you. I am pretty sure he would never want his son to be sad, and that he is watching you from heaven.' I say.
'But he's not here with me.' Boom says as I see a tear run down his face.
I go forward to him and hug him.
That's when View and Film arrive.
'Boom!' Film shouts as she goes and have a seat next to him.
'Have you ate something?' she asks him.
'He refuses to eat anything. I have tried so much but he would just not listen to me.' I say.
That's when a nurse enters and says 'Excuse me sir, Can I please talk to you?'
'Yes, what is it about?' I ask her.
'Please come outside for a minute sir.' she replies.
I go out to talk to her.

SANTA

-2 days later-

'What? When did that happen?' I ask phi'Aou.
'Just 2 days ago.' he says to me.
Santa : Is phi'Boom alright now? And also when is the funeral?
Aou : Boom is not fine. He refuses to eat anything. He did eat some food after we forced him to. For the funeral, it's tomorrow. By what time will you be home?
Santa : I don't know. The traffic on the road is quite bad. I will probably reach the school by midnight.
Aou : I can't be there at that time, I have to make arrangements for the funeral. I will send Louis probably to pick you up.
Santa : Okay. By the way Perth will also be staying at our place tonight.
Aou : Okay, I will tell Louis.

'What happened? Is everything alright?' Perth asks me.
'Phi'Aou's friend - Phi'Boom's father died a few days ago. The funeral is tomorrow so to make arrangements, Phi'Aou won't be home.' I reply.
'Oh? Is your brother's friend- phi' Boom fine?' Perth asks me.
Santa : He now is okay. He did spend a night in the hospital because he fainted after getting to know about the death.
Perth : Let's hope he stays okay. By the way who will pick us up?
Santa : Another friend of phi'Aou will pick us up. His name is Louis.

PERTH

-Later that night-

'Everyone we have reached school. Wake up! Come on everyone, wake up!' says the teacher.
I look at Santa who has been sleeping on my shoulders in the past 3 hours. My shoulder is so sore.
'Santa, wake up, we have reached school.' I say to him.
Santa lightly opens his eyes and looks at me.
'Let me sleep.' He says to me.
'Ohhhhh, Look at you both. You trying to wake Santa up. It's so cute.' Book says to me.
I ignore him and continue 'Santa, wake up.'
With that being said he sits and gets up.
'Come on, let's go.' he says to me.
We walk out of the bus.

'It is that black one. Come!' Santa says to me as he gets into the car.
Santa : Sawadee khap phi.
Perth : Sawadee khap.
Louis : Sawadee. You must be Perth, right?
Perth : Yes. Thank you so much for picking us up.
Louis : Oh no worries. Your brother was busy, Santa. This is why he asked me to pick you both up.
Santa: Yes. Phi'Aou told me.
Louis : Well, let's go, shall we? Have you gotten all your things?
Check if you have everything.
Perth : Yes phi' Louis we have everything. We are good to go.
Louis : Okay then.

'Your mother must be sleeping, do you want me to make you something?' Phi' Louis asks us.
'No, no phi. It's fine. We had dinner at 8. We are fine.' I reply.
'Okay then. I am going. Call me if anything.' Phi' Louis says.
'Why don't you stay? It's late.' Santa asks him.
'No, it's fine. I have to complete my assignment. Bye.' Phi' Louis says as he goes back home.

'You look so cute in that. I hope it is comfortable.' Santa says to me as he looks at me wearing his night suit.
'Oh yes, it is fine. You know it would be more comfortable if I could cuddle you in this.' I reply.
Santa chuckles at what I just said and replies 'Khap. You can cuddle me all you want.'
We both then go to sleep.
