A Voice From The Dark

The twilight air kissed your skin as it blew softly through the window. The pages of your book turned. Without a care, you look out of the window to see the joyful lights of fireflies, and the sounds of crickets.

The sun was setting, making the sky a beautiful color. It was like something out of a dream. You close your eyes.

"The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper."

"What does that mean, daddy?" You look up at your father. His black scales shimmering in the setting sun. He looked mean, but had a kind heart.
He looked down at you. His eyes were warm with love. "Nothing you need not concern yourself with, (Y/n)." He wrapped his tail around you.

Your father held you tighter, as you fell off to sleep.

Opening your eyes, you see the sun at disappeared beyond the horizon, leaving crimson rays in its wake.

You take in a breath. "I miss you, father.." Your heart ached at his memory.

"Oh how touching." You see a silhouette of a caped man walking toward your home. You were frozen with fear. He lifted his hand. "No need to be alarmed." As he made his way to the lights flowing from your home, you recognized that gorgeous face.

"How did you -"

"Honesty is the best policy... I am a bit of an insomniac." Jellal lets out a wonderful laugh. "I wonder around as to 'tucker' myself out if you will. So.. I see I found your place of residency." His smile was absolutely breath taking.

You swallow as he looks around your house from the window sill. "Would you like to come in for a bit?" You were trying to be polite, but deep down you were conflicted.

Jellal blinks at you. He gives you a thinking face before responding. "Might as well.. I never will be able to sleep any how." He didn't even go to the door. Hopping through the window, he stood fixing himself. "Perhaps I should remove this." He mumbled to himself as he discarded his over coat only to reveil muscular arms of beautiful porcelain.

"Would you like something to drink?" Your face glowed with color, and your heart raced a bit. As your palms got a bit sweaty, he took a breath.

"No thank you." By then he had found a seat and was looking at you with admiration in his eyes. You awkwardly sit back in your chair.

"So.. umm.. are you part of any guilds Jellal?" You stomach had began to churn. You kept your eyes on the floor.
He let out a little laugh as he shifted in his spot. "I am. I'm...the master if you will." You look up at him in time to see his smirk. It wasn't mischievous, more playful. "Would you like to join it? I'm sure the two other members would be more then ecstatic to have you. "

Your eyes widen. Two guild offers in one month?! You sat studded at the fact. He takes in a breath, and stands.

"Or maybe.." Still at a loss, you watch as he makes his way toward you. "You could come with me." His hand cups your face. He leans in. His thumb gently stroking your cheek, you feel his warm breath against your lips.

Your heart skips beats. "A.. and where is that?" Your voice bearly managed a whisper.

He leans in closer, as to lightly just brush his lips to yours as he spoke. "Say you'll come with me, then I will tell you, my dear." You mind going blank, you nod.

He snakes his hand to the back of your neck, as he finally lands. Making your heart pound through your entire body

They were soft, delicate, and mind warping. He breaks the kiss, bids his farwell, grabs his coat, and leaves.
