The wind blew as his cape as he stood in the shadows watching the girl.
Weather he liked to believe it or not, he had grown feelings for her since their first encounter in the bustling roads of Magnolia one fateful afternoon.
Completely forgetting the job at hand, he sat admiring her day after day.
"We have to find them, you know." One of his accomplices spoke. Her voice was questioning, yet she felt some what sorry for the man.
He nods. "I am aware. But taking a break wouldn't be such a bad idea.." he said this with a smirk. Eyes full of yearning and questions.
The woman stood next to him, irrtation spreading across her face. "The longer we wait, the less chances we have of catching them." She tried following his gaze, but to no luck.
Once the girl was out of sight, he walks down the ally. "I know the job. I honestly do doubt they are still in this town."
The woman followed him. Looking back once or twice to see if the were watched. "Then we move to the next. This has to be done." She grew exceedingly agitated the more the man avoided the requirement.
Sadness brust through his eyes. Taking a breath he replies. "Lets spend more time here.. you never know. They could very well still be lurking around." As she sighed, the man smiled.
