You had somehow managed to drag yourself up the white steps and into the mayor's mansion.

How can I find him in this condition?

You sat against the wall in the entrance seating area. Your heavy breath were the only thing that filled the dark room apart from the explosions and tormented screams from outside. You look down to a white floor painted a deep red, almost black. You took in deep breaths as you felt the throbbing intensify.

"Damn." A deep voice echoed from the main staircase. Your head instanly turning to it, your breath held. "Did someone call Fairy Tail?" As the owner of the voice came into view, you could see a few guards following close behind.

"Yes sir. They said they would be here soon." The gaurd to his right spoke fright filled words. They made their way down the stairs and the closer they got, the more you figured his position of power.

The mayor stopped at the last step. "By the time they get here, Reinosha will be in ashes." He was a rather round man, he spoke fearful, but if not for that you assumed he would be a rather kind ruler.

You slowly put your hand around the gem that guild master had given you. Its white exterior was beautiful. You fiddled with it a moment before pulling the cold chain over your head.

'All I want you to do is get to the mayor and execute him on the spot.' You swallowed.

Father.. forgive me.

"There's someone.. here.." The right guard held his throat. The mayor held onto the railing and peered around the room. The second guard was already dead.

He fell to his knees. "Come out, Jellal!" The mayor yelled from his place at the stairs. You pulled back your magic just enough to keep him alive.

It was then a laugh filled the room. It was a malevolent laugh, one that would send fear into your body. "I see you remembered my name." He walked from the staircase. His shoes filling the room with echoed steps as he descended.

"You son of a bitch..."

"Excuse me." He kicked the body of the first guards body, it rolled down the steps. His voice held false hurt. "I told you I would return."

You sat in shock, having completely forgotten about the bullet wound in your leg. "But you didn't say you would destroy my town!" The mayor sat on hands and knees while speaking to Jellal, who merely stared down at him.

"It was heavily implied." It was then Jellal met your eyes. His smile widening. "You have done well, (Y/n)." He then began the walk to you, kicking the mayor over in his wake. When he reached you, he stroked your cheek. "You may end his life now." He lifted your body from the ground, legs over his right arm, back leaning against his left. His hard footsteps were drowned out by sound of them in a thick liquid.

Leaning your head to look past his arm, you watch the mayor take his last breath and Jellal make beautiful red shoeprints on the stone steps.
