We were still in de meditation area while sensei Lawrence and sensei LaRusso were talking to Kreese and ponytail dude. We quietly pushed the door open so we could eavesdrop.

'Your dad is pissed. Who is that guy?' Miguel asked Sam quietly.

'I have no idea.' Sam replied confused.

'He looks like a Highlander.' Bert commented.

'The Highlander. There can be only one.' Nate corrected.

After some time Kreese and ponytail guy left. Johnny, Miguel and me went to the car to go home.

'So, you guys have any plans tonight?' Johnny asked Miguel and I.

'Me and Sam are gonna watch a movie at her place.' Miguel said.

'Jace wanted to take me to a donut shop he likes.' I answered.

'That's great, me and Daniel are probably gonna go out for drinks. It gives me a piece of mind you won't be home alone.' Johnny said as he looked at me.

After a little while of silence I saw Miguel motioning to Johnny with his head looking at me with the "tell him" look. I shook my head "no" in return. He did it again and I sighed loudly.

'I'm sorry.' I said to Johnny.

'For what?' Johnny asked confused.

'For calling you "dad" last night. It slipped out and I didn't want to put you in a spot. I'm sorry.' I explained while looking at my hands while fiddling with my sweater.

'I was actually really happy when you called me that.' Johnny said.

I put my head up so fast I almost got a whiplash.

'You were?' I asked surprised.

'Yeah, I mean, I really screwed up with Robby when he was growing up. But when you came along I knew this was my second chance to do better. I actually saw you as my daughter already. So if you wanna call me "dad" I wouldn't be opposed it.' Johnny replied.

'If you weren't driving, I would hug you right now.' I said while wiping the tears from my eyes.

'That was so cute.' Miguel said from the backseat.

'Oh, shut up.' Me and Johnny said at the same time annoyed he interrupted the moment.

'See you already got the same responses.' Miguel said while smirking.

Me and Jace were at the donut shop ready to order.

'Hi, I made an order under the name Jace Anderson.' Jace said to the cashier who nodded and went to get the order.

'Anderson, huh?' I asked him. 'Wait you placed an order? I thought we had to buy them.'

'Well I wanted to surprise you with something, so I called ahead.' Jace explained as the box of donuts was brought.

'Well what are we waiting for, let's eat.' I said to him.

'We'll need to drive somewhere first, this has to be perfect.' Jace said as we got in the car.

After a while we arrived at the astronomy tower.

'I know you told me at the drive-in you always wanted to go here but never found a good moment, so here we are.' Jace said as he brought me to a blanked.

'It looks perfect, I love it.' I said as I looked through the telescope and saw the sky.

'You're perfect, which is why I wanted to ask you this.' Jace said as he opened the box of donuts.
