Some time had passed, truth be told so caught up in the day to day they were encroaching on 31 weeks with nothing set up for a baby due in less than fifty days. That's if TK had his way and lets be honest he probably would.
To his delight one afternoon after school Andrea brought the girls round just because they had demanded to show TK why they would be the best big sisters using the baby doll that had been drawn all over. He was willing to give them a chance but struck that thought off when Paul announced chilli for tea and they threw the baby doll on the floor to run and help him, "Uh girls we don't treat toys like that go get the baby doll and put it in your bag please," TK firmly ordered, he was going to go further but the tones went for medical and a cardiac arrest. "Right I've got to go, be good love you," he fully expected them to have left before he came back.
Except they didn't leave...
Carlos finished his shift and raced over to the 126, Owen had texted him CQD (come quick distress). It could have been TK, the baby, Louise or Harper or even his mother. He was not taking any chances. Pulling up EMS 126 parked across the road with the other engines normally put there for cleaning, "Hey babe what are you doing here?" TK asked with a cheeky grin, "You're okay?" Carlos asked a little, well a lot confused, "Why wouldn't I be?" He asked, Nancy and Tommy rushed inside adding to the confusion, "Your dad texted me CQD," "Come again?" "Come quick, distress, the original SOS over the Marconi Wireless, mainly used by shipping. It's niche but I thought it could have been you or the baby, the girls," TK bit his lip in frustration, what was so important to give Carlos a heart attack.
They both turned and marched into the firehouse. "SURPRISE!" TK stopped dead in his tracks, Carlos protectively grabbed him mostly out of shock, the 126 and there family, "We wanted to surprise you daddy, papa," Harper smiled running over with Louise wearing matching sashes reading, 'Big sister to be.' "You didn't get one with Louise, Carlos you said you worked through Harper's baby shower, so we decided to surprise you two with a baby shower," Owen explained, TK and Carlos went straight for the girls them being included would be paramount. "Truth be told we hadn't started baby shopping," Carlos laughed, "Jesus how far away are you?!" Nancy exclaimed, "31 weeks so seven weeks," "Remember the rules the day you can squat or do stairs," "I know Tommy I know but I'm fine at the moment. Right what games do you have?" He announced.
The 126 were taking bets on due date, weight, size and whom the baby would look more like, being the 6th September due date was 30th October. When it came to weights people were being either nice or extreme, Andrea revealing Carlos was on the bigger side sent his eyes wide, Carlos agreed the same was true for Harper too, Louise was born early so she was definitely not on the bigger side and TK was always on the smaller side. TK preyed that they somehow cancelled each other out. The 30th October fell on a Monday this year and both Louise and Harper were born on Tuesdays, food for thought there birthdays were coming up soon that they had prepared for.
Tommy handed TK the next present, "He'll get it," she announced, slightly confused TK opened the box before looking up at Tommy, "Funny," he showed it too Carlos who had the same reaction, no one else was allowed to see especially not the little ones. The tones rang saving TK from the ordeal as put by Judd.
