Later that day I got a call from a woman called Jennifer, she would be following me around on a daily basis for the next two weeks or so as she said.

Emma came to see me later around 5 p.m. to have dinner with me and talk about what happened the day before and what I heard on the phone earlier that morning.

"so she will be observing you for two whole weeks?! Not one like, day off so you can relax and not have to worry about her being there?" Emma asked me almost shocked and amazed.
"I don't think I will get a day off, but if that is the way to get Lauren back I am willing to do it." She nodded and had to admit she agreed with me.

We would both sacrifice our lives for her, we had proven that before. Even Emma, who never signed anything to legally become part of Lauren's life, to be a guardian over her, even she would give up almost everything for my daughter. Which proved her love for me more than I could ever prove my love for her.

"Yeah I guess you're right, so we just have to prove we are able to raise her and be good parents to her, and we will get her back?"

"Probably, or they will demand me to make some changes in my life or anything I honestly don't really know. They will tell us those things after the three weeks. I hope they will like us and make sure we show our best sides." I said and handed Emma a plate of food before we went to the living room for dinner.

After dinner we turned on the TV and watched some sort of show Emma really liked and I just tried to act as interested as I could. The only thing I really noticed was a load of blood, screaming and Emma saying that Demon was so much better when we was with this one girl that only seemed to complain about everything.

When I saw the credits the show was called  The Vampire Diaries and I lost the little interest I had in it. Vampire stories were so overrated, way too cliche to be good. But if Emma liked it, I guess I'd have to deal with it, for as long as the show was on TV at least.

The rest of the day we just talked and cuddled. I wanted to ask so many questions about the baby but I couldn't get it over my heart to ask her now. I just had to wait till she was ready to share more with me about the experience.

Three days later Jennifer was supposed to make her first appearence and she didn't disappoint. She arrived at 8.30 on the dot and I was shitting myself, scared that one little misstep would be the end of my quest to get my daughter back.

"Morning mr. Horan" She greeted me and stepped inside, quickly looking around already judging me I felt.

"Good morning, how was the drive?" I tried to make small talk to ease the tention but it didn't quite work as well as I had hoped for.

"Could have been better, is it always as crowdy in this neighbourhood? All the trafic and people on the street..." And so it began, I silently told myself. Over the next couple days I tried my best to be the best version of myself possible.

I cooked like healthy and didn't drink. I helped Emma with some school project about plants or something, I don't even remember, and I went to work. Day in, day out the same pattern.

The pattern wasn't that different form when I wasn't followed around, but I did my best to make sure everyone around me was at their best behaviour as well.

I made Zayn quit smoking when he was around me and begged Louis to please lessen his inappropriate jokes and comments. It took some convincing but they all agreed to help me, but still it was the hardest thing I think I've ever done.

I was so worried about every little thing I had to record my parts five times before the guys at Sounds and Mixing were satisfied, which was totaly not like me.
