Aarohi stood in the opulent library of the Raghuvanshi Palace, her eyes pleading with Rajveer as she clutched a sheaf of papers in her hands.

"Please, bhai" she begged, her voice edged with desperation.

"I really want to do my internship abroad. It could be such a valuable opportunity."

Rajveer sat in a leather chair, his expression stern and unyielding. He leaned back in his seat, eyeing Aarohi coolly as she continued to plead her case.

"You know I can't allow you to go" he said firmly, his gaze never leaving her face.

"It's too dangerous for you to travel alone to a foreign country."

Aarohi's shoulders drooped in disappointment, and she let out a small sigh, trying to compose herself.

"But I've thought out all the details,I've found an excellent program, and I have a plan for where I'll stay. I can take care of myself, bhai. I'm not a child anymore." she protested.

"Yes, you are an adult now, but I'm your legal guardian. It is my job to protect you and keep you safe." Rajveer replied coolly.

"I appreciate your concern" she said, trying to keep her emotions in check.

"but I'm not asking for your permission to go hiking in the wilderness or something. I'm talking about furthering my education and gaining valuable experience in my field." Aarohi's face flushed with frustration.

"Padhaai yaha per bhi ho sakti hai!"

Aarohi's cheeks flushed with anger, and she opened her mouth to protest further, but Rajveer cut her off with a raised hand.

"No more arguments,You've had your say, and I've made up my mind. You're not going to that internship, and that's final." he said firmly.

After Aarohi had left the library, Rajveer remained seated in the leather chair by the fireplace, his mind racing as he thought through their conversation. He sighed deeply, resting his head on the table as the weight of responsibility and worry settled on his shoulders.

Rajveer tried to keep his emotions in check, but it was difficult not to feel the pang of regret and guilt that came with denying her request. He knew that Aarohi was a smart and capable young woman, but he couldn't shake the fear that something would happen to her if he let her go so far away from home.

As Rajveer sat there, lost in thought, he found himself growing tired. The events of the day had worn him out, and the warmth of the fire was lulling him into a sleepy state.

Rajveer's eyes began to droop, and he could feel himself dozing off. He tried to fight it, but the fatigue won out, and he slumped forward, his head resting on the table as he drifted off into a deep sleep.

Hours passed, and the fire died down to a pile of embers. The library was quiet, save for the occasional crackle of wood.

Rajveer slept on, his head still resting on the table, his breaths coming slow and even. His face was relaxed in slumber, devoid of the stern expression that usually seemed permanently etched onto it.

Siya pov

I quietly walked into the study, expecting to find my husband hard at work as usual. However, instead of a busy businessman, I found Rajveer ji asleep at his desk, his head resting on the table.

As I approached him, I couldn't help but notice how tired and worn out he looked, with deep shadows under his eyes. Despite his usual stern expression, he looked almost vulnerable in his sleep.

Unable to help myself, I leaned forward a bit, peering closely at his face. He looked so calm and peaceful, quite a contrast to his usual prickly demeanor.

I couldn't help but reach out and gently touch the tip of his nose, just a light brush of my fingers across his skin. I didn't want to wake him, but I couldn't resist the urge to touch him, to feel the softness of his skin against mine.

He did stirred slightly at the touch, but he didn't wake. He let out a small sigh and shifted in his chair, but he remained asleep, blissfully ignorant of my presence.

I was about to leave the room quietly, when suddenly I heard a soft, sleepy voice speak out.

"Siya" he murmured, his eyes still closed.

I turned back to look at him, my heart skipping a beat. I wasn't sure if he was really awake or if he was just mumbling in his sleep.

I was taken aback as rajveer ji, still half asleep, grabbed me and pulled me down onto his lap. I stumbled slightly, bracing myself against the chair, and found myself suddenly sitting on his firm thighs.

"Wha- what are you doing?" I asked, my heart fluttering as I looked up at his face.

His eyes were still closed, but his arms held me tight against him, holding me in place.

I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment as he spoke, his voice low and gravelly.

"Taking advantage of your innocent husband while he's half-asleep isn't fair, jaan" he repeated, his arms encircling my waist.

"I thought you were a good wife?" He raised his head to look at me, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.

I tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but he held onto me tightly, his grip unyielding.

"I was just checking on you" I protested weakly and Rajveer ji let out a small chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief.

"Just checking on me, huh?" he drawled.

"And what were you planning to do after you finished checking on me?" He leaned closer, his lips hovering just inches from mine.

"Were you going to sneak away and pretend like nothing happened?" he whispered.

"Or were you hoping to get a little more intimate before I woke up?"

I swallowed hard, my face now beet red. I could feel the heat radiating off of him, his body pressed tightly against mine.

"I-I wasn't trying anything" I stammered out.

"Oh really?" he teased.

"So you weren't trying anything? With me, your poor, unsuspecting, vulnerable husband?" Rajveer ji let out a low, rumbling laugh.

I was about to protest further, when he suddenly let go of me with a laugh.

"Rajveer ji" I began to say, but I was cut off by his laughter. I looked up at him, surprised by the sudden change in his demeanor.

"Sorry, sorry " he stood up, still chuckling, and ran a hand through his messy hair.

"I couldn't help myself. You just looked so cute, trying to deny your intentions." he said, his tone mock-serious.

"Aap na bhukhe hi rahi he, ja rahi hu mai"

As I was about to leave the study, I heard Rajveer call out to me.

"Siya" he said his voice soft but insistent.

"Bahut headache hora hai. Ek cup chai bana na please apne haatho ki"

I turned back to him, taking in his expression. He looked tired and weary, his eyes drooping with exhaustion. I couldn't help but feel a pang of worry as I watched him rub his forehead.
