Ruby was thought to be a normal girl. A sick girl, but normal. She spent her whole life in hospital due to a fragile heart and iron deficiency. At least that is what she was told by her doctors. It's also what her main nurse June Darby was told. But turns out there is more to Ruby then meets the eye. You see, instead of having a heart, she has a spark. A Cybertronian heart. Follow her story as she finds out why she has no family, how she ended up in a hospital in Jasper, Neveda and how she will survive learning she wasn't meant to be human at all.
Ruby's POV
I sigh as I look out the window, looks like it's a nice day. Maybe June will take me out to the hospital garden today. It's the only time I am let out of this hospital. To go to the garden. Otherwise I am stuck in this boring room all the time. My only real source of entertainment is the books June would bring me.
Since I wasn't allowed to go to school, the hospital staff has been in charge of my education. I know a lot about academics, but nothing about socializing with other people my age. I am thirteen and the only kid I see close to my age is June's son Jack. He seems nice, but we barely speak. Because we have nothing in common.
I sigh again as I look back at the atlas on my lap. All I wanted was a friend and to be able to leave the hospital behind for good. But I doubt that will happen now as my illness is getting worse. The doctors have no idea what's wrong with me. They can only treat my symptoms as they appear. I am on a waiting list for a new heart, as it's my current one giving me problems. But I am not at the top of the list.
"Knock knock" a guy in a lab coat says as he enters my room. I frown, I've never seen him before. I notice he has red hair and eyes. Mus be contact lenses. "You Ruby?" he asks me.
"Yes, who are you?" I ask him curious.
"You'll find out in time, lets go" he states.
"Go where?" I ask him.
"We're going on a little drive" he states.
"I'm not allowed to leave the hospital" I tell him.
"You are now, I'm your new doctor and I am taking you to a new hospital" he states.
"New doctor? I didn't know I was getting a new doctor, what about Doctor White?" I ask him. As he approaches me.
"He is with another patient" he states. "Now lets go" he tells me.
"But, can't I say goodbye to my nurse?" I ask him.
"No time" he tells me becoming annoyed. Suddenly he takes out a needle and before I can react. He jabs it into my neck. "Nap time" he says smirking and catches me as I lose consciousness.

Knockout's POV
I don't understand why Lord Megatron wants this human. Apparently Soundwave located her and Megatron wanted her. I am to bring her back alive and unharmed. Otherwise Megatron will ruin my finish. I carry the girl through the empty halls. It's night time and most of the staff have gone home.
When I round the corner I freeze at the sight of another holoform. This one of the Autobot medic Ratchet. "Knockout" he growls. "Release the child" he orders me.
"No can do, autobot. Lord Megatron wants this femme brought back to him" I tell him.
"Over my dead body" he sneers.
"As you wish" I say shrugging and lay the girl on a nearby berth. I turn to face him Ratchet and he punches me in the face. I growl, how dare he hit my face. I punch him in the stomach. We start to fight. I was winning until the little sneak placed a device on my just.
"Good bye Knockout" he says and presses a button. I'm zapped and scream in pain. As I am forced to shut off my hologorm and return to my body.
Third Persons POV
Ratchet picks up the still sleeping Ruby. He runs to his vehicle and gets in. "Optimus, ground bridge now" he says and Optimus sends him one as Knockout appears speeding around the corner. Ratchet speed through the bridge and Optimus closed it before Knockout could follow him. He transforms and holds the human girl in his servo. "Now why would the decepticons or Megatron for that matter want a human child?" he asks.
"We shall find out old friend, please scan her for any injuries" Optimus tells him. Ratchet nods his helm. He gently lays the girl on the couch on the human platform. Before scanning.
"By the all spark!" he exclaims.
"What is it old friend?" Optimus asks him.
"She has a...."
(Nemesis) Knockout's POV
"I'm sorry my liege, I promise to find the girl and retrieve her for you" I tell him. Bowing before him as he growls in anger.
"What happened?!" he demanded.
"The autobot medic was there, he took me by the surprise. He took the girl back to their base" I explain. He yells in frustration and punches a wall. Leaving a hole in it.
"Those autobots can't be allowed to add her to their ranks. We must retrieve that human at all cost" Megatron snaps.
"Why? Why is she so important Lord Megatron? She is only human" I say softy. He back hands me.
"Shows how little you know" he sneers. "That human child has to potential to turn the tide in our war. She must side with us and not the autobots, though I doubt they have the means to unlock her true potential" he states. "Leave me, I must come with a plan to retrieve my prize" he tells me. I nod and leave heading for my lab.
