STOP BEING A GHOST READER!! PLEASE!!
i'm sorry for all the notifications but us writers work hard on these chapters. i know i ask this a lot, but i really don't like ghost readers because i work super hard on these chapters so when i see views going up but votes are not... its hard for my motivation!

Cameron's fists struck the training dummy over and over, each punch landing with a force that sent small echoes through the nearly empty Cobra Kai flagship dojo. The rhythmic pounding was the only sound besides her ragged breathing. Her knuckles ached, a dull, burning pain spreading across them, but she didn't care. If anything, she welcomed it. Pain meant she was still pushing, still fighting, still proving herself.

She was trying to focus, to channel her energy into something productive, but her mind wouldn't stop replaying his voice.

"I want you to come home."

She gritted her teeth, swinging at the dummy harder. Now he wanted her home? After all this time? After everything he'd said? Months ago, when he found out she was Cobra Kai, he hadn't asked questions. He hadn't cared why she joined, hadn't given her a chance to explain. He'd looked her in the eye and told her to pack her things.

"I won't have a daughter of mine associated with that place."

The memory of those words made her stomach twist, anger flaring hot in her chest. And yet, now, suddenly, he wanted her back? Like nothing had happened? He expected her to just forget how easily he had thrown her away?

Cameron's next punch was so hard that the dummy nearly tipped over. She planted her feet, breathing heavy, hands shaking slightly from the force she had exerted. But the thoughts, the frustration, the confusion-it was all still there, clawing at the back of her mind.

"You're holding back."

The smooth, measured voice made her spin around. Standing in the doorway was Sensei Silver, hands clasped behind his back, watching her with that unreadable expression of his. She hadn't even heard him enter.

Her heart was still pounding from the workout. "Sorry, Sensei," she said quickly, straightening up. "Didn't realize you were there."

Silver stepped further into the room, his movements slow, deliberate. "No need to apologize," he said easily. "I was just coming to check in. See how you're adjusting to the new apartment."

Cameron wiped the sweat off her brow, shifting her stance. "It's, uh, it's good. Thank you for helping me get it."

Silver nodded approvingly. "Can't have my champion sleeping on the streets and in her car."
