Ryuvyna's grip tightened around the file in her hands. Project Phoenix. The medical records detailing her father's survival were right in front of her, yet Peterson's cryptic words sent chills down her spine.

Daniel pressed the barrel of his gun against Peterson's forehead. "Where is Junghyun Park?"

Peterson chuckled darkly. "You think a gun to my head will make me talk? I've faced worse than you, boy."

Ryuvyna stepped forward, her eyes burning with determination. "You said he's different. What did you do to him?"

Peterson sighed, lowering his hands slightly. "I didn't do anything to him. The Jeons did. I was just the one keeping him alive."

Ryuvyna's breath hitched. "He's alive?"

"For now."

That was all she needed to hear.

Before Peterson could say another word, she slammed him against the wall, the edge of the file pressing into his throat. "Where. Is. He?"

Peterson smirked but finally spoke. "Last I checked? A Jeon facility just outside the city. High security, underground. If you go looking, don't expect to make it out alive."

Ryuvyna stepped back, her heart pounding. If what Peterson said was true, Junghyun had been a prisoner this entire time.

Daniel exchanged a look with Victor. "We need to move. Now."

Ryuvyna nodded and turned back to Peterson. "Pray you never see me again."

Then, without hesitation, she struck him across the face with the butt of her gun, knocking him out cold.

Back at the mansion, Jayden was waiting, arms crossed and fury burning in his eyes.

"You went after Peterson without backup?" His voice was sharp, but Ryuvyna didn't have time for a lecture.

"I found out where Junghyun is," she cut in, throwing the file onto the desk. "He's alive."

Jayden's expression shifted from anger to shock. He snatched the file and scanned its contents. "This... this can't be..."

"But it is," Ryuyvyna said firmly. "The Jeons have been keeping him prisoner all this time."

Jayden slammed his fist onto the desk. "Those bastards..."

Daniel cleared his throat. "We don't have much time. If Peterson was willing to tell us, the Jeons are already making moves. We need a plan."

Ryuvyna locked eyes with Jayden. "We're getting him out."

Jayden took a deep breath before nodding. "Then let's get to work."

The rescue mission was set for midnight.

Ryuvyna, Daniel, Victor, and Jayden geared up with weapons and tactical gear. The Jeon facility was heavily guarded, but they had an advantage surprise.

The drive was tense. Ryuvyna's mind raced with possibilities. What if Junghyun wasn't the same? What if it was already too late?

She shook off the doubt. No. He's alive. And I'm bringing him home.

Daniel parked a few miles from the facility, and they moved foot. The compound was surrounded by towering fences and armed guards.

Jayden whispered, "We take out the perimeter first. Quietly."

Daniel and Victor moved ahead, dispatching guards with silent precision. Ryuvyna followed closely, her heart pounding

They reached the entrance. A steel door blocked their way, secured with a keypad.

"I got this," Victor muttered, pulling out a small device. Within seconds, the lock clicked open.

They slipped inside. The air was cold, sterile, and filled with the hum of distant machinery.

Then, they heard it.

A voice. Weak. Ragged.

"Help... me..."

Ryuvyna's blood ran cold. She turned the corner...

And there he was.

Junghyun Park

Strapped to a hospital bed, barely recognizable. His once strong frame was gaunt, his face pale, his eyes sunken but still burning with defiance.

"Appa..." Ryuvyna whispered.

His eyes flickered open, and for the first time in years, he saw his daughter.

Tears welled in her eyes. "I'm here. We're getting you out."

But before they could move, alarms blared.

The Jeons knew they were here.

Daniel cursed. "We need to go. Now."

Gunfire erupted.

The rescue had just turned into a war.
