You walk into a ice cream shop and you see a vast spread of flavors before you. Mint chocolate chip, cookie dough, strawberry cheesecake, rocky road, and many more. How will you ever choose? Each flavor looks so good. If only you could find a way to try all of them. You love one flavor, but you also love another, and your desire to get the best ice cream is huge. Picture God as that ice cream parlor, with every different flavor being a different aspect of Him. God is irresistible. His love for us exceeds all others, and we can't ever get enough. His desire for us should be equally matched by our desire for Him. When you're passionately seeking God, you're seeking the Creator of the Universe. And unlike the restriction on the number of ice cream scoops, God will never withhold Himself from us. We can get as much of Him as he wants.
Psalm 63:1-4 "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands."
