"Grayson....Grayson wake up, it's 12:30 in the afternoon!" My mom said as she woke me up. As I got up from my bed I checked my phone for any notifications. I threw on a shirt and walked downstairs to my mom. "Hey I'm gonna need your help cleaning up the house. Oh and I need you to give this to Chris next door." She said. "What for?" I asked. She looked at me and said "We are having a fourth of July pool party tomorrow." As I nodded, I grabbed the invite, and walked to the door. I slipped on my shoes and walked next door to Chris.
Knock.....knock.......knock
Chris opened the door after the third knock. "Hey....you look like you just woke up!" She said laughing. "Ya I kinda did, but anyway my mom wanted me to give this to you. Its an invitation for you and your family to come to our fourth of July pool party tomorrow." I said. "Mmm, I might be down for that. I'll see you tomorrow then." She said. "Ya see you tomorrow!" I muttered while walking away. Once I got home I ate breakfast and started to help my mom, cameron, and Ethan clean the house.
When we were done cleaning it was around 2:30. As I flopped on the couch, Ethan flopped next to me and said "So....did you invite Chris?" I knew something was up with Ethan because he never asks me questions he already knows the answer to. "Ya, this morning" I replied. "Ethan, Grayson come get lunch!" My mom yelled. I got up and grabbed a sandwich that was on the counter. "Oh Ya, when you guys are done eating get ready because we have to go shopping for tomorrow." My mother said in a serious tone. I took a bite out of my sandwich and looked at my phone screen. There was a massive number of notifications on twitter and instagram.
As I took the last bit of my sandwich I placed my plate in the sink and went up to my room to change. I grabbed a black tee and a pair of jeans out of my dresser. While changing I hear my mom calling me from the bottom of the stairs. "Grayson, let's go!" Once I was done I rushed down the stairs and out into the car. We were off to the store to buy party supplies. As we were on our way to party city, my mom asked if Ethan and I wanted to invited Arron and Jack. We both looked at each other. "Well, their already on their way." I said. "OK, well then good." She said. As we pulled into the parking lot, we parked, and got out.
Once we were done shopping we hit a few more stores, then headed home. Ethan and I helped our mom with the bags. We set them on the counter, and she started to unpack and make the potato salad. Ethan and I went to the basement to text Jack and Aaron.
Me: hey Jack, did u guys land yet or what?????
Jack: calm yourself and come open ur front door.
I rushed upstairs with Ethan, opened the door and gave Aaron and Jack a hug. "Dude, we've missed you guys so much." Ethan said. "Ya, so have we!" Jack replied. "Hi, boys" my mom said in the background. "Hi Lisa!" Aaron said. We all went to the basement to set up where we were going to sleep. It was around 7:45pm when my mom called us up for dinner.
After dinner we all headed downstairs and sat on the couch. "So, what new around here." Jack asked. "Well, a girl moved in next door, her name is Chris." Ethan said while smiling. "Ohhh Ethan's got a girlfriend!" Arron screamed. "No I don't!" He said blushing. "There's no way her full name is Chris. It had to be short for something like Christina right." Jack said. "I don't know we never really asked. I said. We we all kind of tired, so we went to bed a little early. I just couldn't wait to see the fireworks tomorrow.
