Peter wasn't entirely sure why he agreed to accept the inevitable. He had rationalized it was just to shut Wendy up. Girls talked way too much. Walking toward the lagoon, he looked around for Hook. Seeing Hook so powerful and so confident...it made Peter hate himself.

How long had he been battling Hook?

Time was a trivial thing on Neverland. No one needed it because no one grew up. Measuring time was something of the past. Well, at least it used to be. He couldn't deny that he looked much different than he used to. Although he wasn't able to pinpoint exactly what it was, he was certain he wasn't the same. Tinkerbell flew up to him as Wendy followed him onto Hook's ship to form a plan.

"Peter! I'm sorry! Neverland was dying and so were the other fairies! Please forgive me. Let me help you get your magic back!" ️She jingled in his ear

He almost swatted her away again but somehow he understood how she felt. Neverland had been desperate because of his selfishness. Admittedly he felt awful about it, but he knew it was too grown-up of a feeling to say out loud.

"Alright Tink." He said, standing up straight. "How are you going to help?"

She lead them to an empty part of the ship and floated there, thinking for awhile. Wendy looked somewhat frustrated, as she couldn't understand anything Tink said.

"Every one has a weakness." Tink jingled, thinking out loud. "Yours is Wendy." She said after much hesitation and with a slight tone of bitterness. He brushed that off as her usual jealousy. "Hook's weakness is Tic-Toc!"

Of course!

Why hadn't he thought of that already. A mischievous grin formed on his lips. Feelings of delight and childlike joy had returned to him once again. Finally he started to feel like himself again. So much so, that he almost forgot Wendy was standing next to him.

"Well?" She said, her arms folded as she looked at him pointedly.

"I lost my magic because I was refusing to give it up and because of my weakness." He noticed her cheeks turn a slight shade of pink and he tried to keep going to avoid the subject. "But my weakness...is also my strength, whereas Hook's weakness isn't his strength. Hopefully we can get my magic back by using Tic-Toc against him!"

Peter noticed that her ears were completely red, presumably from something he said but he didn't want to dwell on the thought. "Of course! Tinkerbell that's a perfect plan!" She said excitedly to the fairy. Tinkerbell nodded in acknowledgement and strutted around in the air.

She lead them away from the ship, careful to avoid Hook and his crew, and toward Tic-Toc's usual hideout.

"How do you think we'll lure him out?" Peter asked, scrunching up his nose and scratching his head.

"The crocodile loves the way Hook smells." Wendy said, although she seemed slightly disgusted at her own thought. "If we could get him to smell Hook somehow..."

Peter snapped his fingers and his eyes lit up. Grabbing Wendy's shoulders in excitement, he said "That's it Wendy! Hook would go anywhere as long as it meant killing me. If I could lure him over here...Tic-Toc would come out and he'd be done for sure and I'd get my magic back!"

Wendy smiled and applauded herself a little for her idea.

"Oh the cleverness of you." He nodded his head toward her as she blushed back at him. "Take Tink and go hide, I'll go get Hook."

He ran over to the camp, slowing down once he got closer so he didn't startle anyone. It really was an inconvenience that he couldn't fly anymore, but it was easily adaptable. Drawing out his knife, he stepped into the light of the fire and placed one hand on his hips, standing proudly. "Green makes you look like seaweed." He said to the captain mockingly.
