POKER WAS NOT A NATURAL SKILL, THAT WAS FOR CERTAIN.
Vienna knew this after years of playing poker with her fellow naturals. She thought that she would get the hang of it with time, but she was just bad. There wasn't anything she could do about that matter.
She should've known better to not play poker with Naturals, especially with an emotion reader present, and right next to her at that.
Anything displayed on her face was a dead giveaway that her hand was something tragic.
So, she had entirely given up on this hand. She and Sloane were eating their chips, which happened to be Oreos.
Sloane, born and raised in Vegas, had been counting cards since she was practically in the womb. She'd sat out all of the hands on this particular day, which was a relief to everyone playing, they knew Sloane wins any hand she is dealt into.
Michael smirked at Vienna, then looked back down to the cards in his hands. He did not have a poker face, that was for sure.
"I'll see your three and raise you two." Michael looks at Lia.
"I'm in." Nobody present, not even Michael, could tell if she was bluffing.
Vienna reached to where Dean was sitting across the round table, and reached for one of his Oreos.
"Hey!" He swatted her hand.
She laughs quietly, being shushed by Michael. He was taking this round very seriously.
She gave him a look, which he didn't see, as his eyes were scrunched in a type of concentration that was rarely on his face.
"Are you in, Redding?" His eyes dart to Dean for a moment.
"I'm all in." He shoves his chips to the center.
"What about you, Vi?" He looks at her as she shoves her final Oreo into her mouth.
She mumbled something incoherent as her mouth was entirely full.
