What's Wrong Yugi?

Heba's POV

Yugi and I were in the car, after he spoke his mind to Joey. I can honestly say that I was afraid of my brother when he did that. I have never seen him yell like that before.

"Yugi, what made you think that suicide was a good idea in the first place" I asked not taling my eyes off the road.

"I..... I....... I don't want to talk about it" he said just above a whisper.

"Yugi please, I can't help if I don't know what's wrong" I pleaded.

"Even if you did know, you couldn't help me" he said his voice getting slightly agitated.

I decided to let that be that, I don't want to hurt him more by pressing him to talk about something he doesn't want to. When he wants to tell me, he can.

We pulled up to the game shop and I noticed the lights were on in my room. I hadn't turned them on, which meant only one thing. I smiled and held Yugi's hand as we entered the store.

"I just want to go upstairs and sleep" Yugi said with a yawn.

"That's fine. Let's go" I said leading him up the stairs.

We got to his room and he quickly shut the door behind him. I was a little worried about leaving him alone, but I trusted him enough to actually get some sleep. I walked across the hall to my door, and I heard the TV was on.

I yelled "BOO!" as I entered scaring the crap out of the one person who could always make me feel better. He was holding his chest and looking at me with wide eyes. I just giggled in response.

"What the hell!? Is that how you greet your boyfriend?" Atem asked.

"Sorry. I just thought it would be funny" I admitted giggling a little more.

"Where were you anyway. I came back to find the place deserted" Atem asked laying back down on the bed.

"I came back today as well, only to find my brother bleeding out on the bathroom floor" I said as blatantly as I could.

"What!? Why!? How!?" Atem couldn't even form a propper sentence.

"Yugi was trying to committ suicide because he says it was because his friends abandoned him. But I'm starting to think there was an alterior motive" I explained

"Wait even Yami?" Atem asked shocked by the words escaping my mouth.

"Especially him" I said not wanting to speak the name of the one that broke my brother's heart.

Atem's face went from scared, to sad, to angry in a matter of seconds. I had to rub his shoulders to keep him from going out and punching his brother. We both needed to be here for Yugi.

Ring ring ring

"Hello?" I asked as I picked the phone up.

"Heba! There is something you don't know about Yugi" I heard the sound of panic on the other line.

"What? What is it!?"

"Did he ever come home sore, or bruised?"

"Yeah, once or twice while I visited a few months ago. The bruises were around his neck and wrists, and he cringed when he walked. Why?" I asked.

"Oh Ra! I was right. Heba, Yugi was raped!" they said.

I dropped the phone and tears came to my eyes. Everything around me vanished and I was surrounded by blackness. The world started spinning, and soon my own tears woke my from my shock.

"Heba! What the hell is wrong!!?" Atem asked shaking me violently.

"Yugi..... Yugi was...." I can't even begin to say the word.

"Yugi was what?" Atem asked guiding me to the bed.

"R....R..... Raped" I finally manage to choke out.

Atem stood there frozen. He had absolutely no indication of movement. I just let the tears fall as I remember the day I saw him walk in.

Flashback

It was raining outside and I was worried. Yugi is usually home by now, maybe I should call to make sure he is alright. As soon as I had hit the call button, he walked in, and looked awful.

"Yugi, what took you so long?" I asked walking over to him.

He flinched and that made me a little sad, I have never hurt him. Then I notice the bruises he attempted to cover up by wearing a hooded sweatshirt. But the thing that stood out the most was his beaten face. He had dirt, scratches, scrapes, and bruises covering it. One of his amethyst eyes was swollen shut, and his lip was busted open.

"Oh my Ra! What happened!? Who did this!?" I screamed in horror.

"Just some guy who mugged me. Don't worry, I'm fine" he said trying to walk away.

As he walked I noticed that his breath got sharp in between strides. Then one of his sleeves raised a little and I saw purple colored skin around his wrists. Whoever mugged him surely didn't want him fighting back.

I just watched in horror as he walked up the stairs to his room. He is probably going to go clean up, I will bring his dinner to him.

I started to heat it up when I heard the shower start. I wanted him to move as little as possibly i order to help him recover faster. I promise that this would never happen again.

End Flashback

Atem just wrapped his arms around me as I cried. What kind of big brother was I, that I couldn't even protect the most important thing in my life at the time.

"Heba? Are you okay?" I heard a shy voice come from the doorway.

"Yugi?" I asked due being face deep in Atem's chest.

"Yeah. I've given it some thought, and... I'm ready to talk about it now" Yugi said after a pause.

"Okay. Where do you wanna talk?" I asked.

"In my room. Just the two of us. Is that okay Atemu?" Yugi asked looking scared.

"Yes that is fine. You two need to talk" Atem said releasing his arms from around me.

So I got up and followed Yugi to his room. Once inside, he shut the door, and sat down on his bed. He looked nervous almost like he was second guessing his decision.

"Let's start from what you already know" Yugi said after deciding that this was for the best.

Author's Note: Here is this chapter. I have been working on this one for quite sometime. There is still more to come and I won't give any hints yet as to what these events are. Until next time, bye.
