Too Late - Isaac Lahey/Brett Talbot

"How could you do this to me Isaac?" I screamed at him, "I thought I meant something to you."
Isaac had left a few months back after Allison's death. He never called or texted the whole time, hell I had to find out through Scott he had left. What kind of person doesn't tell their girlfriend they're leaving?
"You do babe, trust me," isaac pleaded.
"Trust you? How am I supposed to trust you when you didn't have the guts to tell me you were leaving," I spat, hoping this would end soon.
"It wasn't like that-" Isaac was cut off when my boyfriend strolled through the door.
"Everything alright babe?" Brett asked concerned as he made his was over to me.
"Who is this?" Isaac spat.
"Brett, Y/N's boyfriend," he answered, looking between Isaac and I. "Who are you?"
"I thought I was-"
"What Isaac? Do you really think I was going to wait for you on the off chance you would come back?" I retorted crossing my arms, "we broke up when you left Isaac."
"So you're Isaac," Brett intervened, frowning.
"You're just going to give up on us?" Isaac whimpered, ignoring Brett's question.
"What is there to give up on? Everything left when you left," I stated quietly, "do you know how hard it was for me when you left? I spent months convinced it was my fault, that I scared you off."
"It wasn't your fault Y/N, I-" he tried to reason.
"I think its best if you leave Isaac," I whimpered quietly.
Isaac froze in his place.
"Didn't you hear her? Get out!" Brett threatened, his yellow eyes flashing. Isaac quickly scrambled out of the house.
"How could he do this? Why now?" I whispered, turning towards Brett for comfort as tears started to fall, "its all my fault."
"Hey, hey look at me," Brett said quietly, taking my head in his hands, making me look up at him, "it isn't you're fault. He's the douche that left, stop blaming yourself."
Brett pulled me into a tight hug.
"Thank you," I said quietly.
"For what?" Brett questioned, looking down at me.
"For everything," I smiled, pulling him down for a kiss.
"I love you baby girl."
